Excellent school news
Also great bargain with the game, I remember the expense of games only too well.

Went shopping today and called in to Hotel Chocolat with my voucher. I’d worked out that Pennywise’s voucher code was the better deal, as I could get £55 worth of stuff for the £45 voucher, as opposed to £51.75 worth of stuff with my 15% off code. Filled my basket with £55 worth of stuff and then bravely asked at the till of I could use both codes together. The answer was yes :T:T. So £55 worth of stuff cost £38 and I still have £7 on the gift card :j. Better yet, she gave me a 15% off code for next time too
. So thank you very much Penny Xx

That's a great result on the chocolate.
Poor DS and the screen, I bet he feels awful even if he isn't showing it. Hope it's an easy fix.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

DS1 was always dropping his phone and breaking it. But then he got a shockproof cover for it and the phone lasted two years, mainly because it practically bounced when he dropped it. I know that's no help this time, but maybe for next time. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I would, but he has no money Beanie. None he has access to this side of 18 anyway. Whenever he gets cash it burns a hole in his pocket. To be fair, he’s been buying parts to build a computer, but all money he gets disappears.

He does feel awful Redo. I know this because he screamed and shouted that it was all my fault . After about half an hour he appologised and said he’d lashed out because he was so angry with himself. You don’t say .HairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »DS1 was always dropping his phone and breaking it. Would he able to afford to buy a shock-proof cover? Then as a compromise you could say you will pay for the replacement screen once he has bought the cover so at least it won't happen again and he has had some (financial) consequence?0

He doesn’t even have money for the case CCW, but he is old enough to understand one less Christmas present because I have to buy the case/fix the phone .
Sold a nativity costume this morning (well in principle anyway, doing the transaction at school on Monday!!), and hopefully have a buyer for another costume too. Feel like I need to make as much as possible to cover the cost of a new iron I bought. Got it half price in Black Friday sale, but it was still £30. Hopefully it will make the task so much easier though, my old one has been putting black marks on everything and doesn’t ever get properly hot.
