Well schools certainly haven't changed since my two were young. They still seem to think parents have a never-ending supply of money :(

Yes, schools think we are all made of blooming money.
Hope DS1 is on the mend soon.

  • Weather has been dire here all day. Heavy rain mixed with hail and strong winds, means it’s actually painful to be outside . Did some food shopping earlier, so not a NSD, but have otherwise just been at home concentrating on ironing and surveys. Almost at payout for £5 Amazon voucher on Swagbucks, so trying to get there quickly to add it to the Christmas pot.

DS1 went back to school as he’s feeling 100% better :T.

  • Weather is still awful but we’ve been able to have a slightly later start today as DS1 has a review day at school, which means he’s basically off all day apart from a meeting with his teacher and I, and a visit to a Careers exhibit in the hall. We’ve been given 12.30pm as an appointment time. DS2 wasn’t impressed at having to go to school when his brother was still in bed though :o.

Waving to Supermum, has DS1 any idea what he wants to do,,,,,
As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or
Fake it, to you Make It

He’s undecided between something along the art and design route, or something like computer programming. He’s equally interested in both and indeed very good at both too :D.

Teacher was really pleased with his progress and said if he was to do his GCSEs now he’d be predicted Bs and Cs so we are quite happy with that given he still has another 2 years to go.

Have bought a Black Friday bargain! An Xbox game on DS2’s Christmas list had £20 off, making it a still extortionate but much more affordable £29.95. Delivery was £2 unless you spent £30, so I added a £1 bag of chocolate coins to the order, making it £1 cheaper overall, but with the chocolate as a bonus :T. Will probably give the game to MiL to give him for Christmas, so will get the £30 back anyway.

It has finally stopped raining :j.

  • Great news on DS1's parents evening, you must be feeling very proud :T.

That was an amazing discount on the game, I remember how expensive those were .
