:( Sorry to hear about that PLMBL. On the plus side hopefully some kind of routine can be restored. Will you suggest the diary idea when they come to assess tomorrow?

  • Hey Lucky! :)

Mr Ts is a good idea. Have you got an idea for a meal plan? I am trying to get mine sorted out. The reason I asked about Maccys in Mr As is that they give a discount to Mr A employees if they work in that particular branch. They are very strict about it but if you had one it might have been nice for a treat for the boys. :)

I am firmly not on the diet wagon even when I glance in the mirror and see plural chins! - I am eating pasta and toast for lunch and have eaten 2 mince pies already today. #Notevensorry :rotfl:

I can understand Mr T's. If I could go there for some things I would. As it is I get my lovely *shops on a Thursday* colleague to pick me up teabags from there when I am out as their own brand are the nicest ones going :) - they have cupcakes to actually die for... goodness me.

As it is I live near a Mr T express, Mr S, Mr A & Mr L, in that order all on one road! So it depends on laziness how far I get usually ;)

Sad boys are going back but think of the you time! And yay for the head injury team. No dressing it up, say it how it is and hopefully get some help! :) xx

Good luck with the head injury team visit. Hopefully some good will come out of it.

  • Evening all!

No seizure [STRIKE]yet[/STRIKE] and apart from being a bit angry at tea time he has been ok otherwise. I am definitely working on not panicking about waves of fear, they happen so regularly now and I can safely say that more often than not they don't turn into anything more sinister. Watch it happen now I've said that ....

I will definitely mention the diary idea to the head injury team. I have a list as long as my arm!! I'm really interested to see how it goes, but hope I'm not building my hopes too high.

Lilt, you do not need to be on the diet wagon, I've seen photographic evidence!! You have full permission to eat as many mince pies as you want. In fact if you do try to climb on the diet wagon I may actually push you off just to make more room for my big butt!!

First day back on 'plan' today. I had cereal, fruit and yogurt for breakfast, pasta with a veggie sauce for lunch and then Linda McCartney sausages with potatoes and veg for tea. Feeling quite virtuous!! Not so sure 3 good days out of 7 will get me what I want on the scales on Tuesday but it's got to be better than no good days eh?!

Today has been a NSD. Went to MiL's to help her get some stuff from her loft and then my Mums to return her Beamish pass. They've been getting a new kitchen fitted so helped out a bit there too. DS2 wanted to spend some of his Christmas money on a new Skylander so we called to Mr T's (again!!) but I resisted temptation to buy anything else while we were there. I don't think the fruit I bought last night will last the whole week so I was debating buying more, but thought better of it and will see how we go.

  • I may just take photographic evidence of my own fat butt... :D or put my chin down instead of up for a pic :rotfl: - more chocolates added to my personal tally, along with mayo and cheese in my dinner wrap. I shall roll all the way to work tomorrow to pick up my laptop :rotfl:

Full on day again woman. Do you ever just sit...? I have to confess that whilst I have showered daily, I have only got dressed once since Tuesday :rotfl: - I am rolling from one pair of pyjamas to the next! Great for saving money though :)

Yay for being back on plan. Damage limitation this week; really big loss next week! :D xx

plmbl I am pleased that nothing happened to your DH after his waves of fear. I had waves of fear last night. No reason I could find but I definitely know what your DH is describing now. It was a very strange feeling.

Beanie, I'm not surprised you aren't back on plan, it's sooooo hard to switch back into diet mode after all the lovely Christmas food. Even though I'm unhappy with how I look and what I weigh, I still wouldn't be back on plan if it weren't for DH insisting he was ready to eat 'properly'!

Lilt, there is nothing better than just getting a shower and putting clean pjs on to sit around in all day! Except maybe then opening a box of chocolates, pouring a glass of wine and watching a film in said pjs. Bliss!

Pooh I'm so sorry you are having waves of fear too. I hope unlike Mr Lucky they are not seizure related, but even so that makes them anxiety related which is just as awful. Anything we can help you with?

Not a NSD today as we took DS2 to softplay this morning at his request. DS1 went back to school today so it's just been the three of us, but some friends of ours happened to be at softplay too so we joined their table and had a nice chat. Total spend including entrance fee and drinks was £9.85. No other spends today at all.

Came home and had left over pasta for lunch, then had a quick tidy up before the people from the Head Injury hospital arrived at 2pm. They took down lots of info and said they would discuss our situation with the rest of the team to decide on the best way forward. They were very nice and seem to think there are lots of things they can offer to both DH and I, together and seperately. They thought the diary idea was a great one, even if I prompted Mr Lucky every hour just to write a one word description about how he was feeling and then my version was more detailed. I explained how at the beginning I was given so much hope that DH would improve in a few months, then 2 years, then I was told however he was after 3 years was how he would stay and now 3.5 years on I just feel dumped, like 'you're on your own now, get on with it'. The Clinical Nurse Manager that came said we are still really early days in terms of head injuries, and there is still time for improvement, which pleased us both. She also pointed out that if we manage to get the epilepsy under control then we will see improvements just from that. She then asked DH if there was one thing the Head Injury Unit could do to make life easier for him and our family, then what would it be? I was sure he was going to say his driving license as I know he really misses that, but he said his independence :(. Poor bloke.
