I was tempted to offer my own house for the 1950's bit! They are looking for houses to replicate and mine is quite quirky as it's curved. Xx

I've also never gotten anywhere near the sweet shop, there is always a massive queue when we get there!
We queued for the chips in the chipshop at easter, but that was an hour, and we had the dog with us, he got very restless
I love the bakery though, it is great, bought two loaves of bread from there last time I went. Mum and Dad went a few weeks back, but the bread was too cold to prove so they came back empty handedLose 1st 7lb

Ooh Lucky I knew it would be you offering to stand outside in the cold... no one else would willingly do that :P
A curved house sounds brilliant and a bogger for furniture fittingthere is one near to me which is at the end of a terrace jammed between two roads, and it is literally a triangle! There is no way they can fit anything in that corner end of any worth... Lol.
The first thing I did on New Years Day was clean out my personal cupboards and toiletries and then yesterday cleaned out Jellys wardrobe toowe are on a very similar wavelength this week you and I! And it feels good to be clear of clutter
I'm doing the same with my food, working through it in order of what goes off first in the fridge and only then am I allowed to touch freezer food.. Lol.
As for the read of DH's seizures... it really makes me sad. I remember the fabled April to September where he seemed to go ages without one. It is the only time I have seen you come down a bit off red alert. I wish it had continued! I really don't know how you survive. It is something akin to torture. I have survived on a couple of hours sleep for 4 nights now and I am stressed, ratty with jelly and prone to drink coffee until my ears tingle. Once again, I am reduced to offering a simple *I couldn't do it!* and being amazed by you
Lovely not having to think about work. I am beginning to get back into work mode for Weds when I go back. Why oh why can I not win the lottery and fix all of our worries hmm? xx

Hi, sorry, lurker delurking with a suggestion.
I think your diary idea is a good one but can see that it might be challenging for Mr Lucky to stop what he's doing and write anything meaningful in there.
Maybe he could do something simple, almost like a star chart but he just draw a symbol (or you could even use stickers premade if you could get them) ie a smiley face for feels fine, something for Waves of fear, hungry, angry, anything else you need really
Maybe you could even use letters. Anything that's really simple, and quick to record so he can keep track of feelings, moods, sensations etc
Re-lurking again xx0 -

We don't in the one I work in, but there is in another one nearby. Most Walmarts in America have one so I assume it's just going get more widespread over here.I'm quite excited by the 1950's town!!! (I'm 27 lol)

Such a shame you've not been in the sweet shop cazzy. I normally sidle down the alley and in the back way to watch them actually making the sweets. When we went at Halloween they were dipping apples to make toffee/candy apples. The smell was devine. I've also watched them make (and then bought) cinder toffee before. It's no wonder I have a weight problem :rotfl:.
The chips are worth waiting for though eh?! Yesterday was the first time ever I got served in less than 10 minutes, you are right it normally takes an hour or so!Lucky~~Do you have a local FB buying/selling page that you could pop some of the outgrown stuff on for a few pennies & no postage to worry about?
Beanie, I have kept everything. I obviously need to keep DS1's stuff for DS2, but I'm still not brave enough to sell all the baby/little kid stuff. Even though I am getting used to not having any more babies, I'm still not happy about it!!
Being sensible though, I do need to either sell some stuff and clear debts/mortgage, or as a minimum I could donate some things to my cousin who has just had a baby boy XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Most of the curve in our house is in the stairway/hall so just a problem for the carpet fitters rather than for me fitting furniture. My kitchen and DS2's room above it are rather unusual shapes too but we've worked with it.
We certainly seem on the same cleaning/decluttering wavelength this week. Along with the rest of the country probably :rotfl:. I hope you feel better soon though and only go back to work on Wed if you are fit enough.
Re DH's seizures, I remember the 13 weeks well. Tomorrow will be 5 weeks so not doing too badly at the minute. I read today that Michael Schumacher is still in a coma like state a year on from his Severe Brain Injury, and can only shed tears to show he recognises his wife's voice. Even if DH had a seizure every day I'd still count myself luckier than Mrs Schumacher. Got to see the positives in everything Xx

Sezza, don't you dare relurk!! Brilliant idea, much easier for Mr Lucky! I realise it may not be an indepth description of his day and may not provide a wealth of information when looking at it weeks later, but it is much more manageable for him. This is the guy who can not cope with being spoken to whilst sending a text for example, or noise while he is listening to the tv, so I understand his worry at being able to write things down as they happen.
I still think the whole diary idea in any form is a good one though XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

No one really knows what is going on there. So many conflicting reports. My heart breaks for her and their children. Makes you wonder if he might have been better just being gone. If i was me and that was all I was reduced to, I wouldn't want to be here. But if I was your DH and you and your kids, I would fight for us to all be together... Strange process, deciding what kind of life is worthwhile living.
I really hope that this year your DH can see a real improvement in his seizures - something has to work! And there are always positives hun, everyhwere we look!
I will be back at work come hell or high water. I don't get paid if I don't go... and at £90 a day I can't afford it! I can do a lot of stuff, moving around and not sitting for long etc. I'm just so glad it was done in my holidaysxx

Well since I posted at 5pm I took myself off to Mr T's and bought some 'proper' food. I now have a fridge full of fruit/veg/salad etc and I'm ready to get back on the diet wagon again. All chocolate has been banished to the outhouse!
I chose Mr T's basically because it is the closest one to me (and I didn't want to go to Mr A's when I would normally be working). I stuck to my list but did try to stock up on the things I only buy from there so I do not have to go back for a while and can use a different supermarket next time. I spent £76  and will hopefully not need anything else for a week. Famous last words ....
ETA - Lilt you snuck in there with a post! Totally agree no one really knows what is going on apart from they themselves, but also that some lives are not worth living. So sad.

Waves of fear again this morning
. He is doing things like giving DS2 his breakfast and then asking him what he wants for breakfast 5 minutes later because he's forgotten he's given him it already.
Today is DS1's last day off school, and DS2 goes back on Tuesday. Can't believe that's christmas and New Year over and done with! On the plus side we have the people from the Head Injury Hospital coming out to assess DH tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting the ball rolling with that.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31.
