  • Robin, FitFlops are allegedly good to help you exercise and burn more calories as you walk, which is a load of marketing rubbish if you ask me! However, because of the way the bottoms are moulded, the physiotherapist told me they were excellent for sufferers of Plantar Fasciitis, and I have to say I agree with her. My feet always feel much better after walking in them than in any other kind of shoe/sandals.

I also agree that the price of new ones is rather ridiculous, so I buy them from people who have bought and worn them a fewtimes and realised that they do not get a trim line figure just by wearing them :D.

Robin I guess fit flops are an up to date version of scholl exercise sandals.

I can't wear fit flops sadly as for some reason I can't wear anything between my toes. I bought a pair when they first came out and they made my toes bleed. I'm the same with flip flops.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Ah, thanks ladies, reckon I'll stick with m' hard-wearing cheapie footwear then. :)

Plantar Fasciitis sounds rather annoying Lucky, so hope you win a good pair of posh flipflops on The Bay!
  • PF is awful Robin. I hobble around like a little old lady when I first get out of bed, on occasions during the day if I've been sat for a while, and by the end of the day it can be excruciating :(. I had got rid of it for a while but it's back again. I suffered for 2 years last time I had it .

Yesterday was another NSD :T. Not bad for half term, but to be fair we didn't go far. Today we've been trampolining, which despite using a 10% discount code still cost £20, but the kids love it so it's worth it. Chub club tonight and DH lost 2lbs but I found them :o. Not really bothered about that though as I've been poorly and it's over 2 weeks.

Odd weather today. Walked Oakley in the sunshine this morning and the snowdrops and daffodils are beginning to appear. It really felt like Spring. Tonight, Storm Doris is battering the house and it feels very wintery again :(.

  • Swimming with the boys today at the 'fun' pool so slightly more expensive than the other one, but still only £6.50. Also spent about £8 in McDon's for them afterwards. DH and I had pasta when we got home.

Been quite an emotional day. My friend has been a guest in Parliament, talking about my Goddaughter who passed away at 16. This was then covered by the press and some [STRIKE]people[/STRIKE] cretins have been saying nasty things online. So upsetting and just no need. Their interpretation of the family and what happened couldn't be further from the truth. Utter trolls :( Xx

Some people get their kicks from being slime YOU know the truth and YOU know how nice she and her family were/are ... so think of them as the Trolls in the Hobbit which turned to stone in daylight (only it appears their brains got there first!)
    Must use my stash up!
  • Thanks both :A.

KW, I've been trying to tell myself that as I know it's true, but it still boils my wee that people feel able to be so cruel to those suffering the most Xx

I am sad to read your last post, agree with your MSE friends on here, life is so precious and we live in such a vitriolic and nasty world today, which is very hard to ignore in todays world of technology.

Thoughts with you and your friend, you are I am sure great comfort to her.
As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
