Another warning..they can hurt quite a bit when fitted and then when tightened. Makes sure you definitely go for all the tightening appointments on time otherwise the braces will be in for longer. Ditto re previous advice re retainer...the teeth move back.
Get copious supplies of wax too. My DD1 has mouth ulcers all the time otherwise
:T to brow maintenance...the joys of your being DF.... one of my essentials I am afraid :rotfl:

please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »Thanks Beanie, I'll make sure we know all the ins and outs. DS1 has very large teeth so some of them have grown at an angle just to have room. Think he's going to need a couple removed so the others can jostle into place with the braces Xx
I had to have four teeth removed before my braces were fitted. I'm sure it wasn't pleasant, but I don't remember having any bad memories of it.
As mentioned, having them fitted - not great. Having them tightened - owww!! My whole mouth was so tender and I hated chewing. My Mum was great - lots of homemade vegetable soup (broth) whenever I had such an appointmentOh yeah - corn on the cob was basically off my menu for the duration. It wasn't worth the faff trying to get bits of them out of the braces.
I know my sibling was teased at school when she got them. Since she was upset, they continued for a bit. They tried it when I got mine. My response: "I'd rather have braces now than crooked teeth later". They didn't try again.0 -
Lucky, I have been reading your diary on and off for a few weeks. You are amazing! I am so impressed that you have managed to get debt free with so much going on! Keep going, and I will keep reading0

Welcome Doobop! Thanks for reading Xx
Cheers for all the braces advice guys! I had no idea it was so involved!! I was lucky enough not to need them. I'll make sure DS1 and I are well prepared.
So, quick catch up of the last 48 hours or so.
DS2 threw up. Again.
Collected the men's/boy's hire suits for Sister's wedding. They all look amazing in them and I'm very proud to have such a yummy family. DS2's shirt was too small though so they are re-ordering that and I have to pick it up through the week.
We had a wonderful family meal after collecting the suits. Not only was it a fab place and lovely food, but my Mum and her partner surprised us by paying the whole bill. That makes my budget for spends at the wedding next week much healthier!
Got to the bottom of my ironing pile :T.
Thoroughly enjoyed being off work last night.
DH has been having waves and has been confused today. Things like forgetting where his tablets are kept and having half a conversation in his head and then being annoyed when I don't know what he's talking about

Evening all.
DH continued to have 'waves' yesterday and periods of confusion. He forgot mine and DS2's name and said things like 'shall I close the blinds and put the window on?' rather than the light etc. No full seizure though and he's been better today.
Lost a pound at chub club. Disappointed as I've been really good. DH lost 4.5lbs and we've eaten the same!
Sparky, I'm looking forward to the wedding but I'm nervous too!! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
