  • Love you lot! Thank you. Wish I could see myself as you do Xx

It's MiL's birthday tomorrow and we still didn't have her a present :(, so went shopping today and managed to get her un umbrella (it's what she wanted!!) with the last of my birthday vouchers (I know, I know, but I faithfully promise I'll repay myself next week). I also got her some (half price) chocolates. It doesn't feel nearly enough when she does so much for us, but it's all I can do. We are taking her to the cinema tomorrow too (using some of the tickets I got for scanning my shopping) to see the new Bond film as she rather likes a bit of 007 :D.

While we were shopping DH and DS2 were thirsty so I bought a bottle of water using Advantage card points from B00ts. Love free stuff and was rather chuffed not to have to spend any of our limited budget.

Also did some food shopping so total (non voucher) spends for the day was £24 .

DH has been a little odd today. It's like he's on a time delay and only responds after a pause. He was very jerky in his sleep the night before last too.

  • When are you going back to the doctors? Are you still in pain?

I am worried about you and your lack of doctor related appointments.

    Nevertheless she persisted.

Thanks for worrying about me Buffy, but my pain has reduced dramatically to the point that I haven't had any painkillers since Tuesday. I'm seeing the GP again on Monday - had to wait til then for Aunt Flo to pack up and go :o. Had more bloods taken yesterday too.

Today has been a NSD :j:j. Took MiL with us to see Spectre which we all really enjoyed (me mostly due to the tickets being free!) and I went armed with drinks and snacks from home. I wasn't sure if DS2 would manage to sit through the whole film but he did no problem. MiL had a nice birthday and seemed to like her gifts.

DH has been more 'normal' today thank goodness.

  • A good day all round :) and yippee for not being in pain XXXX

  • Happy November everyone!! Ridiculous how quickly this year is going!

Yesterday the boys said they'd rather go swimming than to parkour, and as swimming costs £2.10 for all of us and parkour is £8 for the two of them, I didn't argue!! I also spent £3.39 on sweets for Trick or Treaters, but as we all went out Trick or Treating ourselves leaving an empty house for an hour, we have plenty of sweets left over. Saves filling up the biscuit tin for a while!

First of the month debt calculations and we currently owe £1135. Tomorrow Bcard will collect £35 by direct debit and that card will then be clear :j:T:j:T. Hopefully I will be sub £1k by this time next month, but not going to stress about it as I really need to get a move on with Christmas present buying!

Great news about the Bcard - you'll be sub £1k before long. You do so well despite all your setbacks. Hope you get sorted at the doctors soon. Here's to a fab November :)

  • Wowee - well done on getting rid of the Bcard you have done so amazingly well. Sorry to hear your health has not been so great recently but a warning sign for you to slow down maybe? Sounds like you've had a fun half-term and the boys are all doing OK ;-)

In total agreement as to how fast the year has gone, I've been on mat leave for 9 months already so onto the zero pay part of my leave now - baby's first Christmas will be a frugal one!

Good luck with the present buying - we are yet to start - eek
