Afternoon
Just had a thought, could your pain be gall stones? or grumbling appendix?
Hope you get some answers at the docs.
nmlc x
Hi thanks for that, but my pain is all left side and apparently gallbladder and appendix are on the right. Just been to GP and she wants to repeat urine/stool/blood samples. Got another appointment on Monday and a sick note to cover me for last Saturday and this coming one too. Not that I get paid for sickness, but at least I'm covered.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Good morning Lucky. I really hope you are feeling better today. I've been following you all year and am subscribed but usually just lurk! Your description of your symptoms and the difficulty finding out what it is has drawn me out as it sounds so like my sister. She has had crippling pain on and off for years and gone through the whole.list of possibilities wit her doctor. Finally they have an answer. She has a type of endometriosis where the womb lining grows in different places where it shouldn't and causes terrible pain wherever the lining has seeded and is also linked with fibroids and weight gain. It would also account for any depression and interactive thyroid function as it is driven by hormones. It can't be diagnosed with blood tests or scans and can only be successfully found with a laparoscopy. There is a fantastic support website, I think it is called endometriosis uk or something else equally not snazzy. I just thought I'd let you know about this as she wasted five years being investigated for all sorts before getting her answer two weeks ago. If it saves you time and stress!!
I have absolutely undying admiration for you Lucky and am so grateful for your diary. You have kept me motivated to deal with my money issues and I thank you! With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

Wow Hopefuljoy, what a brilliant post! Thank you for coming out of lurkdom to not only say lovely things about me (:o) but to offer another solution to my pain. I shall certainly discuss that at my next appointment on Monday as reading up on it, it sounds very similar. Coeliac Disease is the other new idea they are testing me for.
I'm thrilled to have inspired you. Please stay out of lurkdom XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

DS1 went back to school today and DH has been back on this planet :j.
Had bloods done and dropped off samples at docs.
Dropped tv off at repair place to see if it can be fixed (about 6 months after it stopped working). Fingers crossed it can be done cheaply .
Did a bit of food shopping. When we saw the dinosaurs on Sunday they were giving out vouchers for half price pizza (this particular pizza company sponsors the Jurassic movie). Anyway, the coupon was basically for £1.10 off a normal RRP of £2.20, but they were on sale anyway in store for £1.25 so I paid 15p. This makes me ridiculously happy :rotfl:. I need to get out more .....

Ooh, forgot to say, yesterday was a NSD and I stayed the same at fat class. Not bad for hospital food and cheering myself up with rhubarb and custard sweeties

^^^ Ditto.
..Hope the pizza provides a tasty, hassle-free dinner - last thing you need is to be obliged to slave away over a hot stove tonight!0 -
I love the thrill of something like that! You enjoy the 15 pence pizza's for as long as you want! A few years ago you wouldnt have enough picked up that voucher or perhaps do what I did which is forget about it until you had paid and then think it was too late. Shows you how far you have come.
I really hope they can sort your pain out. Have a lovely weekend, is it half term for the boys next week? xx
