  • Thanks Pooh .

DH has been VERY slow today :(. Seems a bit better tonight so fingers crossed it was just a blip. He's been doing things like putting scissors on the stairs instead of back in the drawer  and taking ages to process information/respond (more than usual!).

Spent £7 on things to go in a 'shoe box' for the Christmas appeal. I also had some suitable things in my present pile, so hopefully a little boy out there will enjoy his gift. We are putting the box together with DS2 in school tomorrow.

Haven't gone out to watch the firework display tonight as it's raining. £10 saved! Debating whether to pay it off debt or put it towards Christmas presents.

Well done Lucky for your courage and achievements in adversity - my favourite saying is "if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all" which I take to mean you got to take the rough with the smooth and you have had plenty of both over the years

anyway just wanted to post to subscribe and say thanks for strengthening my MSE willpower. Have just set up extra regular payment from my main account to CC to help it snowball. Won't miss a £5 a week now will I

Plus we have both lost the same amount of weight this year which is a real achievement and hope you feel much better than you did at the start of the year - and that your recent illness has not knocked too much fight out of you
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • Beanie that's a grand idea. I'll be making an extra payment tomorrow anyway so I'll add another fiver to it.

Mark thank you for your kind message and congratulations on the weight loss! £5 extra per week is ideal, it's what I aim for and then anything extra is a bonus. It really has helped in the quest for debt freedom! Xx

  • Ah I wish Beanie, I've got a massive family and still have loads to buy for even though we've cut right back too. I don't begrudge it though, I wouldn't be without them and they are all very generous in return. DS1 wants a £300 games console . That's 3 times what I normally spend. He won't be getting one unless I win one!
