  • Aw thanks Satchmo. I know it's silly because I've just spent £20 on taking everyone to see the new Minions film for Family Fun Friday, but we don't have much left in the pot now until next week and I keep fixating on the money I spent on myself as being unwisely spent.

PLMBL - my S is the same with the chewing & I'd feel anxious too as definitely a pre-cursor for him but I really hope nothing comes of it though once again it puts you on edge. How much weight has OH lost since his meds were sorted. I know that S put loads of weight on last year because his best mate died & he started to have vague moments which the GP said could be the extra weight & I'm assuming losing is the same. So many people don't realise you can't just change epilepsy medication.
Good on you for being assertive about your hours.
  • Cheers Fizzy, he's lost a stone and a half
So it could be having an effect. We see the consultant a week on Monday so I'll mention it then. Sorry to hear about S's best friend :(. Xx

    Hi you

Just checking in quickly. Glad to see things are quiet and well done on reclaiming 3 stone. You're flying! :D

Don't worry about the clubbercise. For starters you're 95p up, but it is a investment in your health and mental wellbeing. Well worth £4 in my book xxx

  • Thank you Beanie and Lilt. Clubbercise definitely gives me a mental boost as well as physical so it IS worth the £4. My problem is that I keep leaving us very short at the minute and that £4 feels needed in other ways. We have £12 to our name, and it's DS1's school fair today so that will disappear then (however I have things finishing on eb@y tonight and I get my CA tomorrow). Tried for a NSD yesterday but had to buy toothpaste of all things when I finished work last night.

I have been trying really hard to clear Bcard by 1st July and have been sending all eb@y profits/clothes weighing in/bagged coins/spare cash to them. Haven't managed it though and as of today the balance is £403. It has still come down a lot but I'm bummed I haven't managed it. I think I've been so focussed on that though, that I've not managed the other money properly, and with DH's birthday etc this month, I have left us very tight. I got my T@lk T@lk bill yesterday and it offers a 10% discount if it's paid within 24 hrs of the email. I didn't have enough money so I borrowed from DS1's account to pay it :o. £4 saved is worth it though and I'll put it back next week.

DH is still TC seizure free, though moody and forgetful.

3 more weeks of school left then I get my boys for 7 weeks of fun :j

  • Clubbercise is brilliant but I already do fitsteps and doing a zumba class as well now so between the classes and fat class I spend £16 per week on trying to lose weight . That's the first time I've added that up and I'm pretty shocked. I've been struggling a bit recently due to crazy work and social life but if I'm spending that amount to just stay the same then I need to kick my own backside and get moving. Well done though on getting 3 stones. I'm just over that and it really makes huge difference xx

Any chance you could borrow some from DS account to pay some more to BC?
I bought a 6 week countdown the other day & really need to get myself into gear.I pledged here not buying another one.
I dont do any excercise which despite what SW says I dont think helps.

Lucky please don't begrudge yourself £4 a week for something you quite clearly enjoy so much. So what if it takes a bit longer to clear your debt, you've done so well so far, can you balance transfer the outstanding on BC?

Beanie - what is this 6 week countdown you've bought?
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • MiT it's shocking how it all adds up isn't it?! I just keep trying to think of how much I'd spend on junk food etc if I wasn't trying to lose weight, so surely our way is better?

Beanie, unfortunately (fortunately?) most of my boys' money is locked away in accounts that can't be accessed. Their 'pocket money' accounts have around £50 in each, so not enough to clear the card. Plus it's coming up to the time of year when they are more likely to want to spend from their accounts. Nice idea though!

Today has been DS1's school fair. Spent £9.30 so had just over £2 left! Spoke to one of the teachers who dealt with the problems DS1 had at school a few months ago, and whilst our conversation was positive it has stirred up some negative emotions and I feel slightly anxious now. Nothing as bad as it was before, but still there nonetheless. The recent attack in Tunisa has not helped my mood recently, as I feel desperately sorry for all those involved and it has caused my worries of terrorism to resurface :(.

On a lighter note, we went to Mum's for a meal tonight which was lovely. I also made £60 on eb@y :T.
