Hi there Lucky, just catching up with your diary over the past week. Well done to you and DH on your weight loss, you'll both soon be beach body perfect :) I can really sympathise with you re DH's confusion as Mr SA is the same (at the moment he is obsessed with penguins bizarrely). Glad you had a great holiday by the way.

  • Hi SA, glad you had a good holiday too but sorry to hear about the penguin obsession! DH was extremely jerky in his sleep last night and has been bad tempered today so things aren't great with him either. Must be something in the air!

I've had a very up and down day. DH saw the endocrinologist this morning who is happy (as long as today's blood test results come back ok) to discharge him to the care of the GP. Basically, although his sodium levels are low for a 'normal' person, they have been stable for DH for 12 months so they are less worried about him now. He will be on his medication long term but as long as his levels stay static they are happy :D.

This afternoon the CBT counsellor rang. My face to face counsellor had asked me to ask her how she felt about me having two therapies at once, and after an indepth conversation we agreed that the face to face counselling would be most beneficial to me right now, so I should just do that. I have all the self help CBT stuff anyway so I can read that myself, and I can re-refer myself to the telephone service at any time.

Tonight has been family fun Friday and we went to the cinema to see Two by Two. It was ok, but spoilt by a really noisy family behind us who ate loudly, scrunched packets and talked throughout. I'm amazed DH held it together!!

Then I heard the Mum of two of my Besties passed away this afternoon :(. She was only 69 and one of the Sisters had her 40th yesterday. Tough times and very sad :(.

But to end on a positive, Sister's partner has been having heart tests all week and we found out today that her condition has improved and no immediate transplant is necessary :j.

Haven't even had chance to do debt calculations for the 1st of the month. Will do that now and report back Xx

Lots of good news there Lucky, tinged with sadness for your friends, but what good news for Mr Lucky and your sister's OH :) Plus the debt news :) Well done.

I am sorry for your friends loss Lucky but at the same time what great news for DH and what FAB FAB news for sisters partner. Have been thinking of her and it is lovely to hear she is a bit more stable.

Sub 2k... Incredible. You'll have this licked so soon it is amazing!! :D

BIG HUGS. You deserve them today.

By the way, I wish your finances stretched to the fitbit for DH. It is frivolous but told me exactly how long last night I spent fidgeting, how many hours sleep I got and how many times I awoke. I imagine his stats, whilst 'restless' would be far far better than your own which I think would include a few dozen wake-ups :p I also got a vibrating alarm on my wrist this morning, and have climbed 41 flights of stairs today, not to mention done over 16,500 steps! :) it is super clever, and again tracked by an app on your phone.

    xxx

Good feeling knowing the debt is going in the right direction. Have a good weekend and roll on being below £2k, also good news on your sister's partner.x

  • Thanks for the well wishes everyone :D. I keep smiling every time I picture the look of happiness and relief on my Sister's face when she Facetimed me to tell me the news about (future) SIL.

Lilt, can you just imagine what the Fitbit would think of DH's 'restless' sleep?! It would think he's been bouncing on a trampoline all night or something! You are right mine would just say "what sleep?!?!". Last night I was up with DS2 as well who had a blocked up nose and couldn't breathe properly :(.

This morning DH and Paramedic Mate have gone to do the Park Run. I've cleaned the kitchen but now I'm on my butt on the sofa. I'm working this afternoon instead of tonight as we literally have no staff, but it suits me to change. I'm a sad case and I'm looking forward to Saturday night TV :o.

Don't forget the piriton for the nose. Jellytot is terrible with hay fever at the minute but it only gets her nose!!

Lol I can imagine the fitbit would think you were a very odd pair indeed ;)

Enjoy your Sat night TV :) xx

  • Thank you both. Beanie, I can wait to be in the 1's and then even more so at the 0's!! Lilt, I've been using the allergy meds (B00ts own brand pirit0n) on DS2, but as of 3am this morning I think it's safe to say it's a full blown cold and cough :(.

It's absolutely chucking it down here today and with DS2 not being great, I think it will just be an 'at home day' today so hopefully a NSD too. DH has been in a rotten mood, very miserable/angry/fly off the handle/depressed. He went off on one because he thought the cat had wee'd on the floor until he realised the rain was coming in the window. He also got very angry when trying to fix his bike wheel and then realised he was putting the part on back to front. Daft things, but explosion causing and then depression that he isn't 'normal'. He's gone to help his Mum strip wallpaper in her lounge now so calm has been restored for a while.
