  • "It rained all day so I ditched the nice warm indoor activity in favour of freezing my butt off in the park". Lilt, there is something wrong with that sentence :rotfl:. Unicorn Poo sounds awesome! I thought it was going to be glittery play dough or something!

October, I hope you have a lovely day with your friend. SA, I hope Mr SA is feeling better today but that you still get to have a nice relaxing day.

DS1 hurt his foot at the party yesterday. He is still limping today so looks like I will have to take him to get it checked :(. Been up since 6.30am (5.30am according to my body clock with the clocks changing last night!) and I'm shattered. A&E is the last thing I fancied today. DH has literally just got up which is odd for him to lie in, so I'm waiting to assess how he is. He had more waves of fear at bedtime last night, so that's 4 out of the last 5 days he's had them :(.

Goodness, I hope DS1 hasn't done anything serious and that DH starts to pick up a bit, Have you spoken to the epilepsy nurse?

Yes it was definitely a backwards sentence but I just couldn't face it.

Just looked up at the clock and it said 2:24, an hour ago I looked and it was 2:19... I thought I was having one of those mad days that drags out for aeons. Instead I am delighted as it is actually the one clock I forgot to change :rotfl: roll on bedtime... xx

  • Thank you both. DS1 was horrified at the thought of going to hospital and said his foot had made a miraculous recovery and he wanted to go swimming instead!! After swimming the limp is back - the jury is still out as to whether the injury was played down to allow swimming, or is being played up to possibly avoid school tomorrow :(.

I haven't spoken to the Epilepsy Nurse yet but it's on the 'to do' list. DH seems ok today, but I'm wondering if he's depressed?? He had one wave this morn so that's 5 out of 7 days now.

If he was able to play it down to go swimming methinks it isn't broken ;) have you given him a good old poke around to see which bit hurts? My friend broke her foot at school.. the bone that runs along from the outside of her heel down towards her little toe. She limped around on it all day then came back in a cast the next day! But her foot swelled up like a balloon once she took her shoe off.

What would be the reason for DH to be depressed? Extra sleeping is definitely a symptom. Is it because he hasn't been able to go running? Was he more down than usual at not being able to remember the museum? Have you checked him off against the side effects of the latest medication?

Hugs to you. Can't be easy, waiting for something to happen. xxx

Rained all day here so ditched the unicorn poo (indoor activity) in favour of traipsing to Argus for baby gates and then going to the further away park. Came back frozen through! And soaked. But herself enjoyed it much!

Unicorn poo is popcorn, coated in melted chocolate with sprinkles and even edible glitter if you feel up for that ;) Awesome stuff.

    Big hugs xx

Unicorn poo! Thats amazing! I want some now!

  • DS1 went to school today without fuss but is still limping slightly. He said he tried to play football at break time but he couldn't run so gave up, and could he please not go to Scouts tonight as they are having a games night and he won't be able to partake properly. I emailed the Scout Leader to explain he wouldn't be there, and now he (DS1) thinks he DOES want to go . Don't know where he gets his indecisiveness from :o.

Nice 5am wake up by DS2 this morning, who was burning hot with a temperature and complaining of a sore tummy :(. So I have had a child off school sick today, just not the one I was expecting it to be! He's all pale and pasty and has barely eaten, but up til now we haven't had any vom. Hopefully it's just a 24 hour thing.

Lilt, DH has seemed 'down' for days (though has been a little better today). Obviously the mini seizures have worried him and he admits he feels he is just waiting for a full seizure, however it's more than that. He was more down than usual after the museum visit, and says he is worried that he will get to his deathbed and remember nothing about his life except his early childhood :(. He also hurt his ankle a couple of weeks ago and hasn't been able to do much running so that is having a negative impact on his mood, and he watched Forrest Gump the other day and has convinced himself that people think of him like that (which isn't true!). He's definitely sleeping more too (Lucky him - I'm totally wrecked :p) Xx
