Thanks everyone! I'm still celebrating Purple Day without even trying as my dressing gown has pink and purple spots .

Still no full seizure but DH is far from 'right'. The waves of fear have continued all day and as I mentioned earlier he has been on his own planet a lot. I'm comforted that his meds must be helping or I think he would have had a tonic clonic seizure without them by now, but the longer it goes on the less positive I'm feeling!

thanks.. a mad dash to tesco express for the kids version of bonjela.. also had an ice lolly and is in bed playing on my phone.. its safe to say he's a drama queen, no idea where he gets that

So glad hubby has managed to go so long without a seizure. I do hope the waves of fear etc are not signs he is brewing up for one.


I wish there was some way that you could lessen the constant worry of him having a seizure. Just time will do that I suppose. Could there be the slightest chance that the waves of fear etc are just his life now and not signs of a pending Seizure. Would be nice the relax and know that the meds have stopped them.

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I am so pleased to hear about the lack of seizures. It could be a bad session now because one is due and the meds are doing their job and keeping it at bay. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Hi Steph! The Consultant said that what DH calls 'waves of fear' are mini seizures rather than anything anxiety related. Historically, the mini seizures have been a precursor to a full seizure as it all happens when his brain tries to utilise the injured part, though he can definitely have one type of seizure without the other. He has been more himself today but it's been a hard 72 hours. I'll be honest we have both just been waiting for it to happen Xx

Cheers October, I really think you might be right on this one. I'm amazed he didn't have a full seizure over the last 3 days, but hopefully this is due to the new meds just about keeping on top of it. Long may that continue! Xx

hah yea.. I tried to change the pic, but the 2nd one didn't fit the square properly so was all distorted.. then I decided who wants to have me staring at them anyway...
