Big Winter Switch to E.ON - Application approved but no email from E.ON to say so?

Hi dumpallhere
Sorry if I wasn't clear above.
The tariff we offered as part of MSE's Big Winter Switch Event is called the E.ON MSE Fixed 1 Year Collective Switch. This was a standalone offer and ran from 28 October 14 to 6 November 14. To have applied for this you'll have had to register for the collective switch with MSE.
This is different from our core tariff that's been available through our usual channels from 29 October 14 until today. This is called E.ON Energy Fixed 1 Year version 12.
From the links you've posted, it looks like you've applied through the Cheap Energy Club's normal channels for our core tariff and not the Collective Switch tariff. Definitely no cashback from us but can't speak for MSE.
Hope this make things a bit clearer.

Hello E.On Company Representative. I applied on 3rd November through the Collective Switch to E.on 12 Month Fixed. I am already an E.on Customer but applied through MSE because their tariff was slightly better. I have still not heard a thing from E.on. I chased MSE and have had contact back, the last of which was to say on 28th November "We've received an update from E.On regarding your switch. It has confirmed that it has your application and is currently working on it. You should expect to hear from E.On soon." That was virtually a week ago and I have still not heard anything. Just how long does it take E.On to be "working on it" for an existing customer? Can you please help find out what is going on with my application to switch tariff with E.On?? If so, what info do I need to send you, and how do I send it to you please? Many thanks, in anticipation.0

Hi needinghelpwithsomething
Really sorry about the delays. Demand for this tariff has been greater than expected. Initially, applications are dealt with manually outside of our main systems and this is adding to the delays.
I was talking to the manager dealing with these applications this morning. There's still a large backlog and the teams are flat out at the moment.
To add to the difficulties, we've had technical issues with our systems and these caused further delays earlier in the week. These've been fixed and there's more updates going through over the weekend so we'll be looking to make faster progress next week.
The above is having an impact on both existing and new customers.
Once we're back on track, applications will be dealt with in the order we received them from MSE. I'll be happy to see what's happening with your account if you drop an email to the address in my Profile. Can't promise too much initially as I've no influence over the process but I'll be able to let you know when the application hits your account.
Sorry again for the delays. I'll update this thread as soon as I've more information.

Hi soba
As brewerdave says, E.ON Reward Points build up gradually over the year. If you're on an eligible tariff and have opted in for the points, you'll receive up to 1500 over 12 months. They build up at 4.1 points per day and are added to accounts each month.
Points can be exchanged for either Tesco Clubcard points or High Street Shopping Vouchers whichever you prefer. There's more information on our website.
If you've recently switched, all our current electricity and dual fuel tariffs are eligible for Reward Points. This includes the MSE Collective tariff. You will, though, need to opt in to receive them. You can do this online or by phoning us.
The only tariffs not eligible for Reward Points are a few older tariffs signed up to before 6 December 2013 and gas only products.
Hope this helps soba. Let me know if you need any more information as happy to help.

Thanks for the reply, Malc.
It was the mse collective rate that I went for in November and i did opt for the Tesco points at the time but I've not received any yet.
I'll take a look online and get back to you if I'm struggling with it.0 -
You're welcome soba. Glad to help.
Customers on the MSE Collective Tariff can definitely earn E.ON Reward Points provided they've opted in.
E.ON points can be exchanged for Tesco Clubcard points at any time. If you've an online account, you can see the points balance and exchange your points by logging into your account with the username/password. The option's on the first page after logging in.
You know where I am if you've any difficulties soba.

All sorted, Malc. The points were there as you said, so my mistake. Thanks for your help:)0

I posted the following on another thread but didn't get a direct response there, so will try again. As a current Eon customer, I received an acknowledgement from Eon that my switch was made within days of applying in early November. However my CEC account still says switch is still in progress. How do I get this side of the transfer to complete?
The Eon email came to me on 11th November saying "We're really pleased you've found the tariff that's best for you and it's great that we'll continue to be your energy supplier." and
"Here's a quick reminder of the tariff you've chosen.
Your tariff details
About your electricity tariff
Supplier E.ON (E.ON Energy Solutions Ltd)
Tariff name E.ON MSE Fixed 1 Year Collective Switch"
So when does the MSE part get tied up. Malc, can you confirm what the process is? Most of the other queries seem to be about delays before the acceptance by Eon._____________________________________________Mortgage 1 £80k paid off july 2014Mortgage 2 £213k paid off May 20210
