Pop up charged £10 to my bill without me purchasing anything! - Three unhelpful!

3 have turned on in browser payments without telling customers.
call them up and ORDER them to turn off in app and in browser purchase approval as it was implemented without permission.
Anyone else on 3 call them and ask if they have enabled it on your phone without asking permission.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Whilst browsing the web on my mobile i received a pop up which had a !!!!!! pic on it i clicked on it to remove it however i got a message saying i had been charged £9 for downloading a movie, then within another 30 seconds another 2 bills for £9.
I immediately got in touch with three.com who reassured me everything would be sorted out and sent me a link to the payment company payforit which they are part owners of on it it clearly states a payment and confirmation screen should be displayed neither happened with me once let alone 3 times.
Anyway after multiple phone calls it was obvious they were not going to do anything about the £27 bill despite literally hundreds of threads on the internet from other customers who have been charged by the same company.
The Indian call center just totally distanced themselves from the problem i explained that they were collecting money for this company and were receiving a large portion of it but they were impossible to talk to.
i then went to the regulator who were just not interested and done everything not to take my complaint telling me they had never heard of the company mobjizz despite the fact they have received many fines from them over the last few years for their practices they just pay the fines as a business expense and carry on as normal.
I was happy with THREE.COM before this but cancelled my contract immediately due to them actively allowing this company to rip off the customers and collecting the money for them.
If you are considering three as a mobile provider be aware of they collect money for third party !!!!!! companies who send pop ups to your phone through their service and when you complain they will do absolutely nothing since they get a large chunk of it.
if you google mobjizz you will become aware of this problem which has been allowed to go on for a few years
here is just one link to the problem there are hundreds more

Just thought I would let you know that I have just spoken to 3 as I have 2 contracts with them sim only and they have informed me that there is no way to deactivate in app or in browser purchases, also payforit purchase at their end so there is no way to stop this scam.
I would be grateful if anybody has any advice how to get it deactivated on 3 as one of the accounts is used by my teenage son who is captain sensible and would not use anything dodgy but if this is coming from a pop up on normal websites the first thing he would do is panic and press to close the pop-up:D
Thanks

Best thing is to cancel contracts with them once your out of contract and make sure they know the reason why.
Also tell everyone you know what three.com attitude to this scam is and advise never to touch them.
They are part of payforit and take a large slice of the money thats why they are doing nothing about this scam.
I was lucky and only had 1 month remaining and if it was not for the scam I would have stayed I left and got a much better deal and brand new iphone from EE who i think are also part of payforit but they have been giving refunds to their customers regarding this scam unlike three.com.
It would be easy for three to block this scam from their network but they choose not to I wonder why?0 -

Don't click on what looks like a x button to close
Instead close the tab, or press back button, or if these are blocked close the browser.0
