Not sure which is best but ones very much to avoid are aol, orange and tiscali0

Yes I've heard to avoid aol and I saw orange on watchdog so would avoid them like the plague. I've already had bad experiences with talk talk and pipex so I'm kind of stuck.0

I would also stay well clear of Bulldog - shocking! I was with BT for years and never had a hitch but I know some would disagree...

They will give you good advice over there...0 -
www.nildram.net
Been with them over 2 years totally trouble free - has one episode where BT line became faulty and Nildram were very helpful.
They won't make you sign a 12 month contract , and they have a variety of offers. I use Broadband2GO and i have 2.5gb download at 8meg speed for 15.99 a month.
If I go over my quota they just charge for the extra useage at 99p per Gb in batches of 2Gb.
How did I come across them? I asked in here for any recommendations as I was moving back to Ireland from Birmingham and was having to move from cable to BT - absolutely no regrets and have no fear in recommending them.
Hope this helps

If you're with Sky digital, get Sky Broadband, I pay £10 for unlimited 16mb broadband. Currently i've had no problems with them, but some people say that the wireless routers they send out are duds.
The fastest i've ever downloaded is about 3.65 mb/s, and fastest upload has been about 2.50 mb/s.0 -
I'm ending my sky contract due to a disagreement otherwise I would.0

Whats wrong with AOL........I was just about to switch from Tiscali to get a free wireless router.I am NOT a Woman! - its Overland Landy (as in A Landrover that travels Overland)
Better to be approximately right than precisely wrong.0 -

... and Plusnet, who are just unbelievably inept, should also be avoided. I'd rather go with at least 2 of the above than them.
Nildram, who have been recommended above, are part of Pipex, who are now part of Tiscali.0 -
Hi mushroom1982 I am with BT total BB....yes I know the dearest around...blah blah blah...but I have tried afew different one's and you cannot beat BT on getting things done...if you have a problem they sort it out...if you have a problem and someone else is resonsible then you'll be hard pushed to get them to sort it out...I was on dial-up with AOL and it was murder...but there BB is supposed to be ok...my friend is with tiscali and she wont have anything said against them...but personally when I was with them I couldn't understand a word...indian call centre...then I went with force9 absolute crap...so I came back to BT...they are just dropping there price's down by £2.00 a month...so that will be good...I am on option 3 which is now £24.99 amonth but I use my computer 24/7 so this is why...and my son like's online gaming...but I cannot fault them...and as I want my phone number changing because I am ex-directory and still getting crap phone calls they are going to change it free of charge and without any downtime of my BB which is good...so that's a bonus really...anyone else would have to disrupt my BB...check it out at BT TOTAL BROADBAND...

Nildram, who have been recommended above, are part of Pipex, who are now part of Tiscali.Relative minnows Be, Madasafish, Namesco and Plusnet are generating the best feedback from their customers, according to Moneysupermarket.com's quarterly survey, while the big names are letting customers down.0
