My experience with Plusnet is that they are among the best. This is confirmed by the following:

I left Plusnet last November after my speeds ground to almost zero at times, they also lost e mails on numerous occasions, not recommended.

Interesting ! missed that when it came out.

I moved from PlusNet to Zen at the beginning of the year, mainly because of the appallingly slow speeds I was then getting from PlusNet - 56k broadband !!!

I set up a free webmail account to receive anything that was still addressed to me at PlusNet. I still check that account now and again to see if there is anything from someone who wasn't aware of my e-mail address change (now have own domain).

I have noticed over the last few months a huge increase in spam to the old PlusNet address, from around 10 a day to up to 70 now !

Am very happy with Zen, they are costing me more but I am getting what I pay for. I did use their helpline a couple of times during the change over, quick response by knowledgeable staff.

I'm with Newnet, and I've been really impressed so far. Good value as well, I pay £9.95 for 8Mb/s conection with a 1Gb download limit. Further downloads charged at £1.19 per Gb retrospectively and no traffic shaping.

Toucan are rubbish. i was asking for faster speeds for ages and they just fobbed me off. low and behold i demand my MAC and they suddenly conjure up 8 meg as tempter to stay.

told where they could stick it , like they told me when my Modem broke.:rotfl: :rotfl:

plus all help lines are Premium rate numbers and Tech help is India call center.

BT Total ordered with £30 cashback with Quidco. starts tomorrow so we will see how they stack up
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Go with Zen Internet. Knowledgeable, polite, friendly staff and ultra-reliable broadband. Not the cheapest but worth what they charge for reliability.
