    I agree Tony....

But as per the original post or second one at the start of this this thread it says on the &more website that you have 0% for nine months on purchases and BT's.

However I can't find any info in the T&C's to back this up

Cant get that link to work!

I just pop in now and then.... :)

I am waiting for my card to arrive and am a little worried after reading the last few posts. I am hoping to use my card to pay the balance of a new car i am picking up next week. As this is a purchase I was assuming I would get 0% on it for 9 months. I am certain I will but would appreciate it if someone could just clarify this for me.

    Thanks x

    Okay.

Managaged to get through and speak to someone that could understand me and me them

State of play is that if you have the black card you will get 0% on purchases for 9 months however there is nothing in terms and conditions stating this. So I printed of where it says this on the web site and have also asked them to write to me confirming this which they have agreed to do. Also when doing a balance transfer the jargen that is read out afterwards by the call centre totally contradicts the above and it says there is a payment hierachy on retail purchases which means you will have to pay off the BT first thus acrueing interest on the retail purchases  So I then asked them to put a note or flag on my account confirming the conversation and also confirming that I have 9 months interest free on BT's and retail purchases.

However be warned.... If you have not paid off you retail purchases in the 9 months you will be liable for the full amount of interest over this period of time...

    Hope this helps

My BT from Egg to M&S card has appeared on Egg card on 3rd working day. So the 7-10 days they quote is nonsense. Now my Egg card has a positive balance, which I was trying to avoid by timing things. Have actioned the transfer of my overdraft from current account to Egg card, and will see what happens.

Don't worry it will be fine. I have put EGG in a positive balance many times before with no problems. It is the reason many keep an EGG card after the 0% deal has run out - to use it as a mule to get money into bank accounts. ;)
  • I called up M&S &More yesterday to find out if they had any existing customer offers. Got an instant 3.9% life of balance transfer, with no arrangement fee. I think that's one of the best available, isn't it? Imagine my surprise - they don't advertise it!

Yes if you "apply for" the card in the store you get the 10% off. The snag I think is there are two MoreThan cards, a black one with 0% for 9 months and a lighter coloured one with 0% for 6 months. So you need to be aware which one you are applying for.

not exactly true, the 9 months @ 0% is only in the granada region. Wales and Scotland have seperate trials. The different coloured cards is part of an image change. The black ones are chip and pin, the white ones arent.
Thought of the day - dont hold your farts in - they travel up your spine, into your brain and thats were shi**y ideas come from!

Because the &More money is own by HSBC now, M&S just gives them permission to use M&S name, so the CC BT offer is similar to the HSBC one.
