Well done Kim you're very lucky - I'm genuinely pleased for you. :T I've been fighting with LloydsTSB for months now and have a court date for August 31, with the events that unfolded yesterday and today even that looks in doubt. The letter I received from their solicitors a few weeks ago stated that their 'client was minded to enter into negotiations of a settlement' with me - wonder if that still stands!! I won't hold my breath. Do I get my court case fee back if there is no court case - that's what I'd like to know?Marya0 -

The letter was dated Monday 23 July. How strange that I have been made an offer this week when they must have known this was coming. I'm certainly not complaining though, I'm never usually this lucky.0 -
Hi everyone,
I am currently attempting to get my charges back, forgetting the announcement that was made yesterday - I am wanting to know something that has been playing on my mind for a few weeks now.
IF i am successful, will TSB want to close my account (past experience's anyone?).
I actually have a loan with TSB, which used to be an old student overdraft. They claim that the money for this loan HAS to come out of the TSB bank account - therefore keeping me as a customer, is this legal and more importantly, if they want to me close my account after getting charges, what happens regarding the loan payment?0 -
Quick question -
Earlier in the year I got a £750 goodwill gesture after my second letter (1300 claimed) . Is it too late to chase for the rest? i.e. is there a time limit before I send a letter accepting the gesture 'without prejudice' and pursuing the rest?
(leaving the OFT business to one side)0 -
Hi Can any one help me , due to what happened yesterday doas any one know how i will be effefted . i have been offered an out of court settlement by there solicitors . i had to sign an agreement and send it back which i have done and they have recieved the form back , yesterday they said the claim was being settled will this still go ahead now in light of what has gone on yesterday and does this mean that by the solicitors sending me a settlement letter is this a legally binding document which they have to honour0

Hello there, I had an offer out of the blue this morning, I haven't even had a court date yet. Anyway I got on to the phone to the solicitors and they will honour all offers they have made. I think I will wait until the money goes into my account before I inform the court though.0

Hi Marya
I really don't know why things differ so much from person to person. I have a friend who is fighting tooth and nail for £250, yet they hand me nearly £3000 without even having a court date? I really didn't expect this.
I have everything crossed for you that an offer comes through soon, from what I can gather it seems that court cases are still going ahead. Good luck Marya.0
