I'm thinking payday should hurry up
- I prefer kindle versions now compared to actual books, for the space saving and also because I don't like creasing the spines of new books but then I don't find them very comfortable to hold if I'm trying to keep them nice.

Have a lovely weekend Mrs E.0

Another who read the Kon Marie thread and then watched a couple of videos. I started on the sock drawer and then realised I'd never keep it up. I am at least realistic about my ability to be neat and tidy
I practised folding the T-shirts too. Whatever was the point in ironing them if they end up getting rumpled?? I suspect my folding needs practice:) !!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
I don't iron either Watty, in fact the ironing board is earmarked for the next tip run as it's slightly wonky and I wouldn't use it even if I wanted to iron... which I don't!
After kondoing my clothes, I didn't move onto the paperwork as the book suggests as I have been doing paperwork slowly for the last few months. I know there is more to sort, but my mind kept telling me to sort the nail varnishes. The book does say you will know where to go next, but nail varnishes? Still have sorted through them this morning so will await my instructions on where to go next
Have been painting the bathroom this morning, getting impatient to get the house sorted and on the market now.0 -
Made a couple of OP's today which has broken some great psychological barriers.
£114 OP to the big mortgage which makes the balance £64,999
£21 to the smaller mortgage which makes the balance £17,999
making the total mortgage balances £82,998
A three in one win there today :beer:0 -
Woohoo! Nice work Mrs E.0

Just read your diary and have to thank you for the tips, mainly the decluttering and opening my eyes to overpaying even just a little as soon as and not waiting till I have a larger lump sum.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190

I guess it depends on how your interest is worked out Frayed Knot. Ours is daily so it makes sense to pay smaller amounts and then the interest is recalculated the next day on the new amount.
We've been really busy today, painted the lounge, glossed quite a lot of woodwork and half the hallway is painted. The house is a mess though, but there is a nice bottle of wine and tub of ice cream waiting for me tonight, I've deserved it, both from L!dl mind you0 -
Sounds like things are going really well, MrsE - I don't kondo, but I do do little bits of decluttering in phases and in groups, I always have. Someone was telling me about nail varnishes recently - between their age, the constituent parts, and the lack of air to the foot, I'm chucking everything out and starting again. Thanks for the reminder2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I didn't know that about nail varnishes KC, glad I had a clear out now.
Payday today, with a little extra from holiday pay which went towards holiday club for dd, but I rounded down acc and sent a £37.26 OP to the mortgage.0
