£25 sent today as an OP. Decluttering has ramped up a gear as this year *may* be the year we move after conversations at the weekend. Time to get the house sorted and see what happens.0

I don't seem to be very good at keeping this diary updated. I have another £48 to OP but had some issue with my PP acc so have to wait for that to be resolved before I can OP it.
I need to keep on top of the decluttering a little better too.0 -
My PP issue has finally been resolved, so I have paid off another £48. If I can achieve an OP of £200 in March then the £66k becomes £65k which will be nice.0

Oh dear it's gotten a bit dusty in here! Long time no updates. I definitely work better with a diary and a goal, so today is the day to revisit old diaries, have a catch up and get my budget sorted.
I keep saying I want to move, do this that or the other, but nothing actually gets done, and it won't just happen will it unless I'm prepared to work for it.0 -
It just goes to show what I can achieve when I am focused. I found and retrieved £11.40 from an old Zopa account, won a £50 amaz0n voucher, and applied for a new job that will mean more money every month.0

I checked the online statements this morning as I realised that a few weeks ago, I re fixed the smaller part of the mortgage to start in July, and I don't recall receiving the paperwork for it. The online statements aren't showing me future payments due in, so I'll have to wait until Monday to give the bank a call to find out if the new fix is starting or not.
It won't make too much of a difference in the short term if it doesn't and we revert to the svr as I *think* we have decided to move sooner rather than later and get to the forever home a little sooner than we thought we would.
I have applied for a new job and if I get it then the increased mortgage won't be a problem, and try as I might I just have never seen this house as my home, so it makes sense to do something about it now, job permitting.
If the mortgage goes to svr then we will end up with two mortgage products after moving rather than three as we will stay with NW and port across.
I have been taking a look around the house this weekend with renewed eyes however with a mental list of jobs that need doing and the huge amount of decluttering that needs to happen.0 -
I've got hubby on board with the DIY in the house now and he in charge of the woodwork this weekend. I got offered the job I went for which is great so I have been putting all the figures into the mortgage calculator. Feels like things are moving forwards now which is great.0

Is the plan to get the house on the market MRs E? There is a good thread on here for decluttering, it's KM (kon marie) I think, it's a really good concept.
Congratulations on the job offer too, sounds like lots of positive changes ahead.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Another vote for KonMarie here :T and :j to jobA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

Yes Cath the plan is to put the house on the market. Not sure of the time frame though, I would prefer sooner rather than later but it depends on the work getting done etc. I'll take a look at the decluttering thread, think I need all the help I can get :rotfl:Another vote for KonMarie here :T and :j to job0
