Hi beanie! Weirdly, we have some of those very cheap hairdressers in Big Coastal City - you can't make a booking, but the results are very good, the 30 minute queue is worthwhile, even when I was working.

    How you doing today?

    I am quite tired Karmcat.
I did a lot yesterday as I knew the weather was going to break today.

Also still recovering from the shannanigans in aFriday with a close family members cat. A very uncaring vet out of the blue wanted my mum to have her cat put to sleep. However after the gathering of the clan we overruled that. We insisted that he be given a steroid injection and have already had a verbal second opinion based on his notes & the X-ray. We are taking it from there & at least my mum has had time to process everything more.
DS’s girl friend was fantastic. Those of you on my FB will have read of the whole sorry saga. He is not just a cat but a very valued & loved member of our little clan.
I have never met such an uncaring vet in my life.

    Dear Beanie

Had seen the FB post and was horrified, well done DS’s girlfriend. Our feline friends are so much part of our family.

We’ve also had a worrying week, but had a completely different experience with our vet.......

Hope today can be restful and full of kitty cuddles x

My two kids have pulled some stunts in their time but I would never see them without a roof over their heads. Can never understand why people would throw their kids out. As you know my 32 year old DD still lives with me and she has been extremely challenging over the years but at the end of the day she’s my DD and I would never let her down.

I moan my face off about LMG and her nonsense but she knows she always has a home with me no matter what. I also know that if everything went wrong for me I could go back and live with my folks (I'm in my 40's, they're in their 70's, none of us want that to happen) and that's how it's always been. It's an unspoken understanding that we all have. My sis would take me in, and me her, if it came to it.

Are you on track for completing your mortgage in 18 months beanielou and are you feeling ok about it?
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.

I've had dealings with an unsympathetic vet who wanted to either operate at a cost of £1k or put my old cat to sleep when he was 15, as you know he lived to be 21 without the op and the "tumour" disappeared. A vet should be caring as a requirement of the role.

A shame you had to decline the brunch, still pennies saved which is good.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
