Nobody seems to wear black, or even dark colours, to events like that any more. I confess I'm not particularly comfortable with it, but thats how it goes these days, even the most respectful of people, including the main mourners, wear colours. Wearing what the person liked is a really good idea.

definitely wear something you feel comfortable in. I seem to have to two modes of dress, a homeless person or work clothes!

Hope a good nights sleep has done some good, you know we say we are twins, washed out, tired, grumpy, with a busy week ahead :rotfl::rotfl:
So take things as they come, and don’t feel guilty if you realise you can’t do everything and have to be your own best friend and say you have to stop....
Everyone’s comments about dressing to memorial events is spot on,... where your sketchers with your dress if it means you are comfortable, and decreasing the risk of falling?? Nobody will remember your shoes but they will remember you being there.
