    You're right, beanie, I think having someone with you for such a big purchase is a good idea: someone else to listen to what's being said, to notice details of the thing you're buying, to notice atmosphere too. And a knowledgeable person you can talk to openly about it afterwards.

    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)
    OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £2226.88/£3000 or 74.23% of my annual spend so far
    I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
