Only just found your diary, and can hear my own worries echoing.
If I remember rightly we have the same condition.... I was 46 yesterday.... And yes the impact of each decade is always a challenge. Perhaps why subconsciously I had a meltdown yesterday.....
However as your Buddhist and MSE friends would say take each moment in time and let's make the most of it.

Having checked in for a while.
Nothing to report really.
Still plodding on.
My fix finished & I managed to get another fixed rate for 2 years as an existing customer without the dreaded affordability checks.
So I hope to continue to pay the same amount as before I went onto the new fix IYSWIM? We shall see.
