Happy New Year Beanie. You have done so well even though you often don’t give yourself credit 👏👏 Like you said you’ve come from some really hard times and I know you’ve inspired others along the way. You’re at a point now that you never thought you’d get to 👏👏. Here’s to a great 2026 for you and yours 👍🥂I’m glad you enjoyed Christmas with ds and your maw.
As for your mum panicking when you fall and never getting used to it….i can completely empathise with her as I’m exactly the same with my grown up ds…..different condition to you, I know…..but each time he has a setback and injury it takes me back to when he was tiny and I was helpless to do much to help. An unfounded sense of guilt or something that we can’t do more to prevent things happening but It is what it is 🥴🥴I think of you every time the weather forecast shows snow in Scotland.
A friend of mine who is in her 70s is worried about when the time to give her car up and stop driving is making herself get a train for a train ride and getting used to it so that if she should ever need to give up she can at least get for some outings as she’s already used to it. I know we’re lucky to have a better public transport system than near you though. I think a hybrid is a great idea for you.January spends - £587.584 -
