Morning @beanielou I've never had a Toyota (just went through the list of cars I've had in my memory 🤣 ) so can't comment on that. I didn't realise you leased your car. Do you not get a free mobility one? If you don't and you have a small amount of cash would you think about buying one?
We've just bought our daughter a really sweet fiat 500 which is great to drive (and our car is a much nicer sports line but I enjoy driving hers!) I'd buy one for myself next time if all I was doing was local journeys. We got hers discounted because it was a cat s so much cheaper than usual prices. I can send you more details in pm if you want but understand if you'd rather stick with a lease. My friend swears by leased cars but I'd rather own mine. 💖

Happy New Year Beanie (sorry it’s a bit late). Hoping that karma will come into play for you this year as you do so much to help others on here and in rl seems fair to be returned to you! I have a Toyota hybrid but it does need driving regularly as when we were away for 4 weeks it wouldn’t start when we got back.
    Thanks. It’s a hybrid automatic I’m considering.

Motability cars are all leased and are not free. You give up all of your mobility part of your allowance and that’s currently in the region of £320 every 4 weeks. Not sure what a cat s is. 🤗

Ah I didn't realise how it worked sorry, that's quite a lot to give up isn't it. Cat s means DD car was in an accident. The pictures I was shown shows damage from it hitting something on the side and was an economical write off. It was fixed and done up before we bought it. 💖

Snow here today. Not as bad as much further north as DS’s school is closed tomorrow.
My mum came up to drop stuff off before her operation on Wednesday. I think there’s something she’s not telling me as there’s so much stuff! Lodger is still in her room so stuff absolutely everywhere.
One cat was very sick earlier. She eats so fast and that does not help.

In other news I have been concemplating how fortunate I am in so many ways. No longer any mortgage debt or credit card debt to worry about. Only the kitchen loan which will be paid off by the end of 2027.
MSE has served me so well over the years not forgetting the lovely people that I have met.

I have put the work in. In the dark days I never thought I could be debt free far less mortgage free.
