Your house, your rules. I think that sums it up. You are the one having to live there & it should be at YOUR convenience & to your convenience. I have a sister who tries to tell me what I should do in my home. Like replace all my carpets with wood type floors. I almost burst out laughing a couple of weeks ago when she backtracked from that & is having carpets back. Guess what her feet now feel the cold, well welcome to my world & to what I have been saying for years. Thankfully we still live in a free country & (says she stamping her foot) it is up to us what we have as long as we can afford it.

The other thing that occurs to me is the sooner you spend the money on the kitchen, the longer you will be getting pleasure from it 😊 Literally more joy seconds to the penny! 😉😊❤️
