Oh Beanie that is so brilliant to hear you've been nominated, very much deserved and lovely to know people recognise all you do.Totally joining chorus of please go, there must be accessible options. I do see it isn't how you'd want it to happen but you shouldn't have to miss out.Pretty sure you can drive right up close to the door iirc, haven't seen inside... willing to come over the bridge and offer a Beanie door to door taxi service if that would help!Debt free May 2016... Beanie - which would be worse…….using a wheelchair to open life up and being able to do more things without as much worry about falling…..OR…….sticking to walking and missing out on lots of things. Only you have the answer for you.
I know many people who have my condition but to a greater degree than I do who have struggled on trying to walk and spending their time worried……including 2 close family members. A wheelchair has transformed their lives…….it still has its risks but it opens many opportunities. What an honour for you to be invited 🥂👏👏👏👏January spends - £587.586 -
Just de-lurking to say - my husband was (in semi-retirement) a private hire vehicle (taxi) driver and took one of our disabled neighbours to Buckingham Palace for a tea party. He was able to drive straight through the gates - no problem. Please look into the logistics. I'm sure it's do-able.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3665

So here’s my story of party at the palace the one for HRM GoldenDrove up to Kensington Palace where they provided parking - then they had accessible minibuses with wheelchairs lifts to take us to outside Buckingham Palace
Escorted through the crowds by marshals then a very handsome soldier helped my friend get me and wheelchair across the gravel to the grass.Evening was fab - Paul McCartney starting a sing along Hey Jude at the end and hearing Tom Jones sing Delia, in the disabled portaloo never to be forgotten oh and Phil Collins on the Drums and Brian May on the roof - yes and the Queen !
At the end we had to wait until the crowds dispersed before the minibuses could get back in so off to the Royal Mews where we drunk hot chocolate and I took a photo of Andrex in the Royal Mews toilets ( my families brand of choice as a child )
I was 33, I hated using a manual chair as I can’t self propel and had to rely on my friend …. But those memories keep flooding back and I would do it all again.Dearest Beanielou as Milan and everyone else says let’s help you find away.Lots of love xxxAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
