It's so mind boggling trying to work through the decision making process on something like this. Might you be eligible for any grants for improved heating do you think? Agree with others on the stove idea - my DD has them but kept her gas rads in the rooms. They look nice and are warm (your cat would love it!), but I must admit I've never yearned for one due to all the cleaning and loading logs faff that goes with them!
EH's idea of an extra rad sounds good - as others say you may be eligible for a grant to help with costs?Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
