Do you have a pull cord to turn on next to the shower? This might be the electrics. If you are not sure a plumber will know and be able to tell you. We looked at a power shower but our plumber said don't because our water pressure isn't strong enough - a decent tradesman will be able to supply and fit with minimum disruption. If you don't have one, ask locally (community FB page?) for recommendations

And don't worry, lots of people are exactly the same. I am married to an engineer....

Mr SA has had lots of problems with his scooter batteries over the years. They seem to be very temperamental 😩 On the shower front, best to get it sorted before it goes completely.

No cord but I remember them installing something in the electric cupboard.
    I just push a button.
    Not a power shower sadly.

It sounds like the shower we had previously. It was a Mira Sport, electric shower. We now have a combination boiler and the shower comes straight from that, it’s a power shower.

I need to get my shower fixed also, must be going around.

Mine is technically working but it is a gravity fed mixer tap over the bath with a shower attachment, my problem is getting the right temperature as I still have old style baxi boiler with a large full tank of hot water but  I can spend 5 minutes(or more) trying to adjust the taps and still never get right temperature it is either too cold or too hot.  So I have bought one with a thermostat on it to control the temperature just need to find some one to fit it.  My dad fitted the last one as he is a plumber but he is not able anymore at his age

If you're able to get a shower that is the same as your current one it is much easier to swap over.  My Dad (retired electrician) was able to swap over my shower (with telephone help from his plumber friend) because pipes and stuff (technical term) were in the same places. It should save on labour time and therefore costs.

@Sun_Addict Yes, Miss M is back.
She got out when my mum was having work done to her bathroom.
My mum can start letting her out now.
