I think the VIP will be more interested in what you're doing rather than how you look. I do my own colour at home using Nice 'n' Easy costs less than £5. If your hair needs cutting I would just give it a good blow dry with a round brush and put plenty of hairspray in to give it some oomph. Then paint your nails, bit of lippy and mascara, you're good to go :)

I own no nail varnish, hairspray or mascara.
    Sad but true!

I'm hardly the person to give advice on the cost of hair as I tend to splash out on mine but SA makes some excellent points. I don't think the VIP will expect you to look done up to the nines - you will be meeting him/her in the workplace not at a charity reception. A couple of years ago I had to meet an HRH at work - I just wore what I usually wear in the office - Marisota trousers and a M&S top!

It is a mixture of both!

I think a visit that goes well will do wonders for how you feel. I don't see anything wrong with putting one hair cut on a credit card if you can pay it off quickly and it will help you feel confident about the day. The work you do is amazing Beanie.

    Thanks Butti.

I'm sure you'll look fab. Just plaster a big smile on your face and nothing else will matter. I don't own any hairspray, nail varnish or mascara either!
