They definitely are rubbish on the customer service front, OH has been with them for 15 years so he gets much better deals than me, despite having an IVA. It was cheaper for him to add a second line to his account when he upgraded than it would have been for me to upgrade and get the same phone.
I was mis sold the contract in the first place as they told me that although it was a 24 month contract, I would be able to upgrade after a year, which it turns out was not true at all. I haven't used the phone for about 6 months because it's so rubbish.

Morning everyone. I'm not usually an early morning poster, but it's back to the hospital today, just need to get OH up out of bed so we can be there at a reasonable time.
We were naughty yesterday, we had a kfchicken on the way home, £11 [STRIKE]spent[/STRIKE] wasted.
Will be a spend day today, all day parking and prescription costs, might take some lunch for OH as I get mine but he usually buys it.

Off to get ready now, hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks Puzz. Stuck in traffic. Not off to a great start, but at least I can chill out when we get there.

  • Hey Mrs T!!

Hope everything went well at the hospital. My OH was with VodPh. Ugh.. They promised him a free upgrade to an Iph 6 and when he went to get it they wanted to charge him nearly £300 and he wouldn't get it until the new year (this was in Dec). I had waited to get my upgrade at the same time as we both wanted the same phone. We went to Eee Eee and he ended up on my contract so we both pay £36.00 a month and got an Iph5S for £10.00 up front. Not what we wanted but was still going to cost around £300 and we just couldn't justify the spend. It is working out well though as he is a big data user and I'm not. The joint contract gave us a lot more data than you would get on a single contract so it has really worked out well for us. Keep at it.

How is your spreadsheet coming along? I have just added a non budgeted items colomn so I can keep track of those. It's one of those things you have to tweek to suit your needs.

Keep working on it and keep positive. We are all here for you!

Oh just wanted to add, your OH may not be ready for a little addition now but there is no reason that has to be set in stone. It might be a conversation you can have again in the future. Give it a year or two and try again. That is what I am going to do with my OH.

Have a lovely day Mrs T.

OH is at work today, so it is cleaning and ironing day today, I'd much rather do it on my own when OH isnt here as I get it done quicker, although he does tend to do bits and bobs during the week, (hoovering, putting washing on) I can't iron when he's around, I just get distracted.

    Anyway, update:
Thursday I spent £6 on hospital parking, and OH spent £8.05 paying for my prescription.

Friday was a NSD, I got the money from my manager so I'm £100 up.

Yesterday I was at work and took a potato in to work for lunch as there were some beans left over in the fridge, only £2.50 spent on bus fare.

Today will be a NSD as we won't be leaving the house. I have transferred the £100 to my savings account, I will forget it is there, as I wasnt expecting to be getting it just yet, so if I pretend its not there I can't spend it.
I've also transferred £8.03 to my car insurance savings.
There are 19 days until pay day, 5 of which we will be up north so won't really need anything. I have £100 exactly to last me the rest of the month. :o
I'm going to download the zapper app to my phone so I can get scanning things in, typing in the bar codes takes so long, so if I can get the 4 BOXES of stuff listed and sent off, that should add a few pennies to the pot.

I've been really frugal too, it must be a Sunday thing. Last week I made cheats cheesecake with some left over biscuits and two packets of strawberry angel delight, and today I've got up and made banana and choc chip loaf with the bananas that have gone slightly over. :T Yay for inventive, frugal baking.

I will update signature then crack on with my chores.

    Happy Sunday everyone.

    MrsT. :Tx x
  • Ohhhh that sounds soooo yummy!!! I have been so lazy lately but I am using the fact that I feel poorly and I am having work issues as an excuse.

I have a little sewing project that I need to get on with and that I am looking forward to. Just no time off to do it which sucks so going to fit it in where I can.

Hope you have a lovely, relaxing Sunday.

    October xx
