There's a thing called Interleaving which makes a line more stable but may slow it down a bit. Had Plusnet turned Interleaving on while TT did not?

Yes interleaving is on, but I am happy with that. And it's stable, which is also good. From what I have read I am "banded" and it takes time to recover from that, if you have any noise or drop outs. With Christmas ending and all those nasty cheap lights (not in my house) being put away, my guess is the noise will go down. My issue was a noisy cheap Ebay Laptop 12v PSU from China. That has been binned for some time, but I have been playing which also re-sets the counters.

Will wait and see..... or may be I'll ask for the line to be reset or something.

Basically the PlusNet speeds are now 60% what they were on TalkTalk line. So if you was going along a motorway in your car at 70 MPH and someone said have this new thing for your car, it will run at the same speed.... honest. Then the car only goes at 70 x 0.60 = 42 MPH, well may be not a good analogy.... At least it is staying on the road, before I binned the China 12v PSU it just stopped .... at least that was found.

I agree that they seem to handle it differently although it seems that they ignore noise rather than handle it as such. BT equipment users seems to get a more aggressive touch.

    Yes, I can confirm that.
Looking at the PlusNet Forum if that is you Jem16 on there, you have my sympathy. May be I should ask for a reset or just wait. After a while 42 MPH (see last post) with everyone rushing by seems quite cool ... NOT.

My guess is, it is only gong to get worst as more cheap PSUs (see last post) come into the country. Then most users wont know and will try to move to fibre and BT / Virgin will be raking it in.

It is but at the moment I'm quite happy as it seems to have settled with a higher speed than I got with either O2 or Sky.

The old wiring has been an issue for years and if PlusNet manage to get it fixed for me that will be a bonus!

I think you may be good for a reset. It looks like it was put through for you yesterday but hasn't happened yet.
