Hugs Jazee, a difficult day for so many.

Sunny here so going to put wash 1 on the line and go to town for a major food shop, hope it is not too manic and then maybe an hour in the garden or dusting the boys bedrooms either will at least be satisfying.

So many brave men and women who have gone to the Summerlands too young, just because human beings can't live with each other harmoniously.

Many years ago, the chap I was engaged to at the time witnessed the horror of his best mate being killed right beside him; they were on duty in N.I. :(

DD2 had a good parade, she plays a drum for The Viper Corps of Drums (find us on f@ceb00k ;)) We couldn't go in the church, never can as they never leave anywhere for the band to sit
Day was ruined by DD2 having an argument with her boyfriend  I've said I'm not taking him to any drumming shows again, he's quite immature and seemed to be sulking cos he wasn't the centre of her attention. I know he has a few issues of the broken home/ in care/ parents with addictions type (no offence to anyone) but he knew today was important. Anyway, the argument was when we'd got back home and they'd gone back out. DD1 came home from her boyfriend's for something and told me they were screaming at each other up the road  By the time I got out it had stopped and he'd walked off but I called her in and had words. Told her she wasn't a fishwife and there was no need for it, especially not outside the old couple house up the road. They're the type that would try reporting me to the housing !!!. for it!
I was spending the afternoon shredding old bank statements 'til the shredder overheated :( Now I'm just catching up on tv and internet things :D

It wasn't a good day for drying so I now have a lot of laundry on aireres.

    DS2&3 constantly squabbling.

Off to dust a bedroom before doing dinner, the table will take some clearing too.

  • Hi all

Special thoughts to those of you who are remembering someone in particular today. I had a lump in my throat when I saw our kids lined up for a moments silence before their footie match.

So, special birthday lunch followed by footie. Home now. Everyone else settled in front of the telly while I run around like a headless chicken trying to sort the laundry, tidy up and generally get ready for the week ahead.

Oh and I need to finish that report for work before the day is out.

My kids, for once, are not bickering or squabbling, well at the moment at least. Right, sitting here looking at this laptop screen is not getting anything done!

Hugs jazee and anyone else who has lost someone in conflict xxx

Bit of a hectic day here with a babysitter mix-up and impromptu shopping needs, but it all came good in the end. Both kiddies in bed as we are all shattered here.

Granny has been a star and made tea plus sorted the kitchen after, so we will be starting the new week in a good place.

Uniform etc is out for morning, and I'm just pre-reading my emails so I have a head start at paid stuff too.

Am about to have some of my home made elderberry syrup, maybe in a hot drink - got a real frog in my throat, hope it doesn't end up as a toad - "ribbit".

    "See" you all tomorrow x

Well, once again I am full of snots and grots... 4th time in 6 weeks.. this is getting silly!! My immune system is clearly just not working! Every time I leave the house I get something else.. I'm NOT a nice person today.. even OH left me in bed this morning until almost 11am.. I had been up most of the night with a poorly pixie and coughing and snotting so I think he just didn't want to be anywhere near me for a few hours lol The 3 littlies are hot and bothered and Squeak and 2 of the older ones are complaining of sore throats so I've done a good job of sharing it appears..

Towels drying on the line and a couple airing in the dryer for showers later.

I am finishing knitting worms and I am doing a few more squares of Moomins blanket.

*if you can't say anything nice !!!!!!* (deletes paragraph!)

Bed time very soon for the mini-me's .. :D

Oh.. I threw DS1 out of my house earlier. He came round ranting like a nutter and I said please don't rant I don't feel well and can't deal with it and he carried on so he was told to leave or shut up.. so he left... for 5 minutes lol ... he was much more pleasant when he returned!

Dashing back in to catch up... unmarked essay pile somewhat depleted. Still lots to go. Have put unhealthy, fattening food from freezer into oven - will b a late night methinks. Hope you feel better soon pigpen, and strength to you, wendywitch and anyone else with Teenager Troubles - something to look forward to!

Yorkshirelass, bossymoo, glad I'm not the only one doing paid stuff on a Sunday! Will be here mooching in between essays if anyone else planning to be around this evening.
