Make a list of things you may need to buy soon, batteries, lightbulbs, cellotape, stamps, shoe laces, sticky labels etc. Didn't get on at all over half term due to work and juggling kids!
DH has half decorated the lounge and it's looking good. Very cross as we spent £60 on wallpaper for one wall and the sdding stuff doesn't match. I have been through the bins over and over and can only find 2 of the labels from the rolls and no receipt. It was definitely the same batch numbers but DH said 1 roll went up perfectly then the other 2 stretched all over the place. They have bubbled since they went up and not shrunk back. £20 per roll wallpaper shouldn't do that!
Anyway, Nuff moaning. My friend has nominated me to do the "toughmudder" next year so I have to get fit. Lord only knows if I can manage it! I have downloaded an exercise routine to get myself up together. At my current level of fitness, I think that I can maybe manage the warm up and cool down!
Sorry everyone is having poorly pet times.
LW, glad your appointment seemed to go well. Hope the paws are improved again today.
It is wet and meh here today, so I'm going to drag doggy down to the beach or the woods and exhaust her so I can bring her home to sleep and I can try to kip before work this evening.
I must go to the big orange diy shed too and the post office.
Tomorrow, hopefully we can really condense the stuff which was in the side board. We can then rearrange the furniture and get the downstairs back together.

Morning all,
A late night burst of cleaning last night saw me catch up on the weeks list so the house is looking much better than it has been. huge thanks to Dusty and Natty for putting together these lists each week! It's amazing the difference it can make to my housework if i have to report in and say whether i've done it or not.
I've a busy weekend ahead, getting my nails done tomorrow morning then away to Edinburgh for the rugby. I'm doing some work to the wardrobes inbetween my room and the spare room to increase the usable storage in the house. Over the weekend I hope to remove all the plasterboard leaving just the woodwork then plan the new layout which I then hope to complete by the end of next week. I can then make a start on decorating the spare room. I'd like to do mine before Christmas too so I need to get my proverbial finger out.
It's a truly miserable day here, wind has been howling and raining for the last 24 hours.
Hope you're all dry and warm wherever you are.
Have a good weekend all.

Angry and emotional today.
I could have a massive rant but I won't. Don't know how to do that blanking out the typing thing to start with
Short version ~
DD2 is in my bad books, came home from dropping DD1 to work and taking my parents for my dad's xray (we were so quick we didn't get charged parking  :money:) to find all house lights on and dog not in her cage  DD2 was[STRIKE] asked[/STRIKE] told to feed and put her away. One job. Not hard. Especially when she was in the kitchen weighing out her cooking stuff!!
My dad had some programme about remembrance day/ the wars etc on and I ended up in tears. I'm normallybut this was
not like me.
Came home to a "revised" council tax billthey now want twice the amount I was paying!! DD1's pay goes up 15p an hour next month. Both girls have been fb messaged (mobile is meant to be back today, but no sign so far
) to tell them we are having a family meeting re: everything! I'm not a bank or a door mat!! so they can stuff their plans!
I'm sorry but for once I am playing the "I'm the mum, what I say going" card :mad:
On a flying note : Not much don't cos I've been outDW was put on by me (as usual) this morning and I have just washed my mum's big winter coat. She was going to do it but it'll take an age to dry on her airer but it can be TD so I can do it for her
:A
I'm just going to grab some lunch then do the bathroom and strip my bed.

I wonder if he has teeth over rainbow bridge? He hasn't had any for years!RadioHorse wrote: »I'm going to combine Friday and Thursday because I missed them due to being poorly. Will take it steady though, and split it up into twenty tens.
Thanks for al the kind wishes re my paws - the left one seems much improved, though if I push it too much, it lets me know in no uncertain terms that it's not actually better as yet; but it's so nice to not have that constant burning sensation, even at rest. I can't wait to have the right one done, now!:D The Dr only did one because the injections aren't cheap, and they don't actually work for some folks, so he wanted to be sure I'd actually benefit. Thankfully Mr LW's works health plan are picking up the tab - all I have to pay is £100 excess, which I've just had the bill for; I already put it aside from my DLA, so I'll write the cheque shortly. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Feeling really emotional today, first day in work for five weeks and can't help wondering if I have come back too soon, but time will tell. Need to phone the docs this afternoon for my blood test results , to determine if my thyroid or the menopause are affecting my moods.
No jobs for today as dailies done before work and did the spare room yesterday, have left DS a note to put a washload of lights on and empty the DW when he gets out of his pit. Not expecting it to be done but prepared to be pleasantly surprised.
Pigpen, pleased to hear your cat had a peaceful passing and I am sure he has all his teeth at the bridge.
Lamewolf, glad to hear you do not need an Op, the Horse Piddle in our town is not the best, although to be fair much better than it used to be.
Wendywitch - good luck with the family conference. We have a rule in our house whoever is holding the salt pot is the one to speak at that time.
Hugs to those who need them and enjoy your weekend.

MrsMP Thank you, I hope it's sorted too. At the moment, losing about £1,000-2,500 a week.
( he'd invested in quite a lot of stock, so quite worrying. Have deleted from my earlier post in case caused worse problem
I have made a large saucepan of roast squash soup, and will have some for lunch.
I drew up list of hotspots/cluttered areas. So shocked had to sit down with a coffee. my house looks pretty okay - until you open a cupboard! Now I have my list, I think I'll do one hotspot from list every time that room comes round.
Today I have cleared the bottom of the stairs (dumping ground for bags and jackets) and also removed unwanted coats from hall cupboard to go to Oxfam. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
LW - so pleased that the injection continues to work and ease things for you and glad you feel positive about having the other one done
Pigpen - any news on the pod popping yet ??
It was horrible here overnight - lashed it down and blowing a hooley  However, from about mid-day it has blown itself out and it's a lovely sunny, though cold, afternoon.
Three loads of washing done and last lot, bedding, going round in TD.
Just Friday listies left to do now. Just going to have some cheese on toast and a :coffee: and get on with it.
Anyone up for an HHC at 3.00 ?
