I worked on a news item with him many years ago and I thought he was a really nice guy. Not afraid to get his feet dirty for a news story and I like that.Evangeline1971 wrote: »Hi everyone
I went to Ikea today to buy a desk. OH has finally agreed to create a workstation area for me in the other spare bedroom :j He already turned one spare room into his "computer room" so I've been asking for years, its only fair
I saw this cushion which I love but it was £13
Normally I'd never spend that on a cushion but on the machine that gives you a temporary family card there's an option to see the exclusive offers. This gives you a £10 voucher off £100 spend. So the desk and other bits I wanted came to £87, it made sense to get the cushion as I hadn't found anything else I wanted and this brought my bill to £100 exactly
There's also a Christmas robin cushion but neither of these are on the Ikea website.
Aww that's really cute. Great that you got it for £3 with the £10 off £100 voucher. Bargain. :beer:lookinforabargain wrote: »
I am a firm believer that age is just a number at the end of the daybut then when you've got an OH 19 years older you kinda have to say that
:rotfl:
I agree. So many people are older but young at heart and then others are young but mature for their age so it can work. Really depends on the individuals."I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

This is where I get technical-ish. All that sneezing will be caused by irritated mucosal lining and the parts of your nose and sinuses only visible by a very thin camera. It's worth getting checked but NHS rules now mean that septoplasty isn't automatically funded amd funding will need to be applied for by your gp.
Polyps are horrible. I get to see pictures taken of them during surgery to remove them and some of them are :eek:
It must be quite difficult for you. These Americans *sigh* hope you get to meet her soon, I'm already looking forward to it

Ladyshopper wrote: »Has anyone seen any bags left with sweet sunday codes on in store? Just wondered if they were still about, as only a few days left.
Just doing mine, and I've either miscounted or lost one pack, as have got an odd 3 bags, so am 1 bag short for a code. Guess that will teach me for leaving it last minute!
My little ex-Netto have quite a few, some are still £1.I have one more to post but it keeps being declined Think you have answered why. Thanks
Ah, hopefully you'll be able to sort it now:happylove Nanny to 2 Cherubs :happylove0 -

Evening all.
Not been around much today. RL has dealt a blow that I'm struggling to cope with. Will be lurking if I can for a while so sorry if I miss anyone's news. tweets glad you are getting a thundershirt. Hope everyone is well xx
Hugs for you cjj xxx
and
I'm not sure if I saw it mentioned here or elsewhere, but I bought a heated car seat cover in Aldi today for £10. Oh my days, it is lovely. I plugged it in to the car cigarette lighter socket as soon as I left the store and within a minute my back & bum were lovely & toasty. :j
I highly recommend one for anyone who has an early start in the winter?
I know you can put the car heater on, but I always find that makes me sleepy on long journeys?
I know those of you with fancy pants cars probably have built in heated seats, but for the rest of us with our basic little cars they are very nice indeed.
Glad to hear Poppy is getting a thundershirt tweets? You will have to show us a photo of her modelling it?"I expect to pass through this world but once.
