I've spoken to him earlier. She's not one of his lecturers but a guest lecturer taking part in some sort of exchange programme. She's American and they met when she went to see a production he was taking part in.
I've suggested (demanded :rotfl:) that he invite her to dinner soon. Ok, I'll be honest I am a bit shocked but he's a sensible lad most of the time and it's his life. I'll reserve judgement for when I meet her.
OH is being extremely laid back about it all and his opinion so far consists of shrugging his shoulders and telling me I shouldn't have been so nosey and pushy in the first place:rotfl:
My Dad too was a good bit older than my mother. Don't know if it played a part in how badly they got on or if it was down to many other factors?
My oldest sister has given me one piece of advice that has been invaluable in relation to the boys girlfriends and that is 'remember one day she may be the mother of your grandchildren'.
I often repeat this to myself! and in relation to DS1 girlfriend, I chant it to myself!!!:D:D:D:D
