Oats, half skimmed milk, half water microwaved for a couple of minutes then a decent covering of 'fake' sugar.

I make it in a pan with water, no sugar no salt. I add sultanas, or a banana, or some stewed apple, or some tinned fruit if I have some already open, peaches are nice in porridge.

    I love skip diving.

  • I make mine in the microwave with water and then stir in a mu**er light yoghurt and top with fruit, usually kiwi but I do use frozen fruits too. Before using yoghurt I needed sugar or sweetener

  • I make mine with water not milk, and serve it the Scandinavian way with a knob of butter and a sprinkling of cinnamon. No sugar necessary. It works well with oats, rye, barley or rice porridge.
  • A few raisins for me, stirred in before the porridge is cooked so they go nice and soft. Mind you I can quite happily eat it "neat".

OH has to have his drenched with golden syrup - each to their own but thats far too sweet for me!

Half milk half water. Pinch of salt. Chopped apple and raisins. Microwave. Pour a bit of cold milk on. ( even better with cream!!!) yum!
  • I make mixed grain porridge with 1 tablespoon each of barley, rye and spelt flakes and 1 tablespoon of rolled oats which are mixed with 8 tablespoons of water and microwaved on full power for 5 minutes. I mix in a couple of tablespoons of plain yoghurt when it's cooked and any berries that I have so strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries as a single berry or in combination. I sweeten with Splenda or Stevia and it makes a lovely start to the day.
