So on the way in you drove over the centre of the hump with no problems.

On the way out you didn't want to wait for the other car, so you drove over the no cars/pedestrian section, and as a result damaged your car.

    Good luck with that claim.

At the end of the day if you have an abnormally low car (it may be legal, but it is not normal), if you choose to drive on a private road, then you need to check whether the road is suitable. If not, don't.
Sorry but I'm with Altarf on this one , normally you take care driving over speed bumps , on the one occasion that you didn't , your car is damaged, but wish to claim damages/compensation ? . And yes I have owned a body kitted car / lowered suspension before and always exercised extreme caution with speed bumps.

And if this is indeed what happened, I expect the OP (or at least his insurance company) would be liable for any damage caused to the road/speed bump considering they misused it.

The issue isn't about self caused personal injury.

However if I put my foot through my glass coffee table my insurance company pay out under the accidental damage clause.

And, if the OP has fully comprehensive insurance, he's able to claim for the damage to his car.

The OPs question, though, was whether he can claim off his landlord for sticking his foot through the coffee table.

its totally different, if the landlord supplied the glass coffee table that you had to walk across to get into your apartment and it broke causing damage then you would have a case.
The op had no choice but to go over the speed hump but no one knows if the park is liable as in reality the op could be said to have used it incorrectly by not staying on the designated roadway (which is how it reads)

As for the insurance i'm pretty sure they wont want to know as it was on a private road

The OP did have a choice. When they used the correct part of the road, they did no damage. When they used the bit that was clearly marked as not to be used - rather than wait a few seconds - they damaged their car.

When they used the coffee table correctly, no injury or damage. When they used the coffee table incorrectly, and injury or damage resulted...
