Do you know what you want?

If you want the phone repaired by Tesco, send them a LBA. You have the report. They don't have a leg to stand on.

If you send the phone to Samsung and they confirm that it's a fault, why do you need Tesco? Samsung will repair it under their 2-years' warranty.

My understanding is that this should be covered by the sale of goods act (SOGA) anyway.[/QUOTE]

Soga is the vendor you claim under that against the vendor supported by an engineers report .
Samsung may well reject due to screen damage its part of the check list .
But send the report in with the phone gives you a better chance .

Grumbler is correct - I just registered my product on the Samsung cyber portal and it shows as having a 24 month warranty. Why didn't Tesco tell me this?

I will see what the Samsung service centre say.

The service centre say "it has been repaired and is ready for collection". It took them 1.5 days!

    Based upon the OP.
Said that it was not covered because it was screen damage.

All repair services are notorious for trying to pull a fast one and fob you off. Not everything they say is necessarily true/correct.

    Told you...:D
  • You have a 2 year warrantee with Samsung grab your receipt pop it into a carphone warehouse and they can send it away. Samsung will either replace it for you or agree with tesco at which point there is no rebuttal really

I am having an issue with my S3 where the screen comes on but I cannot swipe on the screen, i.e. cant use my touchscreen.

I was going to ring affordable mobiles as they are who I got the contract with but the warranty with them was for ony 12 months where as I have had my phone for 18 months now.

I was hoping there was a simple fix or how would I go about sending it back to Samsung

    Factory reset first .
Power off . Hold down Home button and Vol Up and Power .
Release at first splash screen .
Choose Wipe Data factory reset .
