On call so can't go out :( weather is horrible anyway and my boys are off to the football this afternoon leaving me with the windy dog.

Still can't think of anything to get OH for Christmas, and he can't think of anything for me either, really struggling for ideas.

I need a new waterproof jacket for walking and caravanning but I want to lose some weight before I get a new one.

Spent £50 of food budget yesterday, so £270/£300 this month, pleased with that.

Still got 3/4 tank of fuel.

Donated £5 to food bank and tins of dog food to dogs trust.

Did a muddy/slightly foggy walk yesterday as one outing, and will do another walk next weekend. Did OK not too wheezy, took my inhalers with me.

Took lunch to work 3 out of 4 days last week, I left my lunch in the hallway on Friday by accident, and had to buy a baked potato from the canteen.

lost track of NDSs as usual, but its 4 days to payday and I've got £140 of my personal spends left so not too shabby :)

  • Ahoy!!

Wow final week of November! Thanks for the new mini Challange SOA! I am up to 10sfds including Friday. I have been continuing the birthday and xmas shopping from my pots over the weekend! I forget how long it all takes to do! Have had a fairly relaxed weekend, spent all day yesterday with one of my besties, just went to hers for dinner and a mahoosive overdue catch up! Today I had to purchase some bits for work (with work money) and also made use of the location to pick up another 2 small xmas gifts, along with a donation to the NSPCC for a letter from santa for my nephew, and 5 m00npig cards. They are currently doing 50% off, if you purchase 5 or more cards. I did this last year as I have a lot of Birthdays in December and also have a special card made for my other half. I have them all sent to me so only pay one postage, so they work out at £1.69/card which is great as you can customise them or have photos uploaded onto them.

Looking forward to doing my Huge Foodbank shop in December :) As that is instead of buying gifts for my closest friends, they are also doing the same.

My Ma, has purchased myself and OH cinema tickets with her cinema points she has saved up over the year as a special treat! So we will be seeing Mockingjay Tuesday evening- super excited! My Ma, is the ultimate penny pincher and is amazing at juggling different pots of money and saving up. Wish I had taken on some of her skills a little earlier, but hey ho I found my own way eventually!

It has been absolutely chucking it down here over the weekend, so I am grateful for lovely warm jumpers, fluffy blankets, lovely friends and a lovely ma!

Have a good rest of weekend all! x

Have done another bout of exercise - trying to some a bit every day until the 30th now. Today's was 10 mins of: 3 burpee with press up on the minute, then fore and back lunges with 10k weight until the next minute starts. Dd wanted to sit on my back for the press ups :rotfl:!

There was a list at church from CAP, where you could sign up for certain Cmas foods to give them. Am so glad to have found a foodbank at last!

I've brought a cushion along for my stint on the naughty step. A visit to the 99p and £ shops yielded about £21 of spends, £12 was on FROZEN stuff and other bits for dd's bday, which was money well spent, but not planned for November.

Soup is made for the week. Was going to involve a pumpkin but I couldn't cut it so will have to bake it first to get it soft! Ended up using butternut squash and sweet potato - still yummy.

  • Hi guys

Sorry for being so awol. It has been a bit of a trying week. From the Weds - Sunday I have garnered 3 extra SFD's which leaves me at a total of 16 and a week to go to get the other 2 for my total. However that is a week off from work and so I need to be careful!!

Tuesday I need to go and buy some paint for Jellys new bedroom. Saturday Him arrived unexpectedly after work. He could only manage the 5 minute walk back to mine rather than the hour trip home as he had this winter vomiting bug starting. Not that we knew that when he walked through the door. Cue him and Jelly being very very ill overnight after Jellys first day spent unsuccessfully potty training aka soaking half a dozen pairs of knickers & leaving me scrubbing every floor in the house over and over again. Woke up at half 7 this morning and went to Jellys room as I knew she was up but very quiet. It was a sickfest of epic proportions, even down the back of the radiator :rotfl:. The poor mite was herded into the shower and once clean and fresh with clean hair which I bobbled on top of her head I ran her a bath, gave her a lot of bubbles and toys and went off to start the cleaning. Scrubbed her bedroom carpet, and stripped the bed. Hand washed the pillow and pillow case, and the bedsheet, then discovered creeping mould on every side of her chest of drawers, so promptly scrubbed that down too. Got Jelly out, and gave her a banana for breakfast and some dioralyte, then started on the potty training again as she seemed fine in herself. Another day of disasters. Very clean and sterile floors. I don't know that they were this clean even when she started crawling. I've gone through 180 anti-bac wipes, a whole bottle of dettol and half a bottle of 1001 carpet shampoo. She needs a new carpet, and there lies my issue. It needs decorating, then the carpet put down. The carpet appears to be the source of the mould and so it needs doing sharpish. It was being done before xmas anwyay...

I also need to go and buy a new potty, just a cheap one to drop at nursery if we are to continue with the training. I have been forced to do it by my super pushy mother who has been hounding me ever since she turned 18 months old. I kept saying she wasn't ready as she has no awareness but she kept on at me until after a particular jabbering when I brought home the nursery book after parents evening to check on her progress. Shes at age 5 in mathematics :rotfl: and right where she should be or a bit ahead on everything else.

Anyway between work, parents evening, potty training, and sickness bugs, it has been eventful. I have not come down with the lurgy but have a huge headache which won't go away from the extreme stress levels over the last 48 hours. Off to bed soon.

mothernerd so lovely to see you back on here and I am amazed by your stoic attitude to the hip. My friend a few doors up had hers before summer started here and she only last week stopped using the one crutch to help her walk. She is doing a lot better overall though. Keep following procedures on exercise etc, screw the eating: just eat what is easy and deal with the rest later on. Microwave veg packs maybe? Get well soon, and hope those boys step up soon to help you out!

Everyone else, you're awesome and doing so well. Keep going.

SOA thanks for the challenge. I think my kindness to others has come in the form of running around like a blue something fly after Him who shouldn't even have been here yesterday and last night. And tomorrow I am doing something nice for the nursery teachers by keeping Jelly and her potential infectiousness off nursery, and saving them endless cleaning up after her accidents :rotfl: aren't I a good person.... LOL

    Night all. xx
