Good evening lovely people
£1.80 worth of Amazon vouchers came through in my TCB account today, so off to add them to my Amazon account now :j
Hope everyone has a nice money-saving weekend. I'm going to try and crack on with as many surveys as possible as I have a few coming up for redemption soon - if I get my finger out and start hammering into them again!!
Also, on a little follow-on from my bus ticket savings on Monday, I went on their website and discovered they'd created several new ticket options as from last weekend.. including a 10-ticket saver that is valid for 3 months at a time. Considering I travel 3 days a week, that'll do nicely so I bought one today. It brings the cost of a return trip down to £4.80!!!!!:D That's over £2 a day, £6 a week saved. I'd love to say I'd religiously add the cash to my savings account every week but I know I won't!!:o So I shall just enjoy the fact that I should be around three hundred quid a year better off and think of it as an unexpected pay rise!!:beer:NOV 2014 £151.74/£150 ... Hey all.... Not been around for nearly 2 weeks. Been quite poorly again. On the mend now. Back to work tomorrow. Anyway, obviously a bad start to the month, however I can finally add £5 today. Did a £35 shop at Ice*and and got £5 off for getting it delivered. Have a high-ish priced item on fleabay. Its got a couple of bids. Hoping to get around £50 for it. Ends soon so fingers crossed! That will bring me up to date!
I have 10 pages to catch up on.... Oh dear.... Hope everyone is well

Hi Big Mumma and welcome! I don't use an iPad so can't help you there but I'm sure someone will be along soon to help out!
Good luck with the challenge. Read the first couple of post to get some great ideas on how to raise some extra funds!

Bigmumma- you need to select what you wish to change colour by putting the cursor one side of the word or within the word, hold down and press Select. Then try scrolling up to click on the colour drop down list. It's so overly-fiddley compared to a laptop!Letting Go NST #17

Hello,
I phoned Homebase as my sofa was delivered late, which meant that I had to miss a yoga retreat I was booked on. They offered me £25 gift voucher and I said I'd be happier with £50 so they have put £50 in the post to me. (To be fair the sofa was expensive and I really did miss a holiday due to the change of delivery date).
Thanks to someone on here, I also telephoned my mortgage company about a fiasco earlier in the year. They haven't offered me compensation yet but I have my fingers crossed.
I've got £40 coming from Quidco.
None of my ebay items seem to be selling and still too proud to sell on the Facebook sites. Hopefully one day I will overcome my ego and put things on there but not quite ready to do it yet. Thanks for telling me about closed groups, that makes it slightly less daunting.
I really should be listing books as I think this is the time of year to sell books. Must get onto that.

Nothing new to report but getting help and inspiration from reading all the posts.
CountingPennies: sorry you have been ill. Let's hope you are finally fit enough to face the rigours of Christmas and all the extra work it involves. Sending a hug your way:grouphug:.
Bigmumma: welcome:hello:. I was a newbie on this thread myself last month and, like you, started small with £5 (and didn't think I'd manage anywhere near that). But reading of everyone's successes and ideas for making a bit extra has really motivated me. Heck, I'm even going for £7 a day this month:rotfl:. Still can't see me making the £10 of the thread title (not until after Christmas anyway). Everyone on here is so friendly and welcoming so any problems or questions, just ask:beer:
hostie: I don't sell on Facebook either although it sounds very tempting judging by the successes several people on here have posted. I closed my Facebook account down due to various issues so would have to dive in again and give it another try. The reason I'd be worried about selling on there is not pride in my case but that we live out in the sticks in a place that's not so easy to find and a real trek for any potential buyers. I'm often here on my own and being so isolated I don't like strangers coming into the house, or even giving my address to strangers:eek:.
I sell books on Amazon as a sideline (a lifeline sometimes) and what I make is sporadic. I tend to sell slightly more leading up to Christmas but I haven't all that many listed so can't comment if it's Christmas or just that someone fancies my books:). They are mostly used and probably not suitable as gifts anyway. If you opt for selling on Amazon check the fees(which are extortionate) but at least it gives good exposure for what you're selling.Good luck:beer:

Nothing made in the past couple of days, but just input a couple of textbooks onto FatBrain and it's offering me £26 each! So have accepted that offer and will package up today.
Check your bookshelves for unwanted/unused textbooks as they seem to be worth far more than expected!Letting Go NST #17
