  • Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and say well done to everyone so far! These challenges were a lifesaver for me in the past, I haven't had time to come online since starting my new job and my degree, but after a bad day today I was thinking about this challenge and so came for a read! It has helped keep my mind off my worries and I'm off to see what I have in my house that I can sell!

  • Had a pleasant surprise on the bus to work this morning when the driver told me that the saver ticket prices had changed and it was now £1 cheaper!!:T So I've popped the pound saved into my little moneybag (I keep a little bag on a hook near the door for spare small cash saves, sales and roadkill etc to bank when it hits around a fiver).

Working it out, at a pound a day for three days work travel a week, allowing for a few holidays etc, that's £125 - £150 a year better off!

As well as my pound bonus I also used a 50p MOC in Sainsbizzys tonight. A modest but cheerful start to the week. :)

  • Evening everyone,

Nipped to the bank today as apparently they have a coinstar machine to pay straight into your account without any of the coinstar fees. Not sure how long they've had it but I thought it was amazing lol

Emptied a couple of money jars I had with loose change in and discovered I had £5.90 collected :) So I've added that to my sig and am off to see if I can continue my swagbucks streak :)

What bank was it? I've got an awful lot of spare change - and I'm loath to use coinstar.

It was Barclays. I didn't even have to tip them in like with coinstar it was all on a convey belt. I'm planning another trip tomorrow just to use the machine again lol
