Dealing with sitting tenants

As a mum with two kids with a LL selling the property we are living in..., if you are planning to sell the property, do it before letting a family move in if you are only planning to keep the property for a few months.
Remember, the family will have enormous disruption if you sell.., and they have to move. It will also cost them a lot of money. It may well involve moving them from one school to another.., again.., if they can't find another property in the same area. Yes, you are not a social housing organisation, but well, the family don't deserve this either.
And you have no guarantee they will be able to move out when you want them to.., in my case I'd have to wait for bailiffs to call to get rehoused by council (its called gate keeping, isn't supposed to happen anymore but clearly it does).
Read a few pages on this part of the website.., look for S21, Landlord Selling, Sitting Tenants etc etc.0

Not necessarily: Selling a place does not end tenancy nor require the tenant to leave.deannatrois wrote: »....
