  • Have to go to work for a few hours this morning - not the norm as all, but its only till lunch..

DH will take the little people swimming and then I'll occupy the afternoon so DH can get on with the decorating and hopefully building our shoe storage this afternoon.

Had a PIV fitted yesterday. They looked at the worst areas of black wet damp and said it would be dry and not an issue in 30 days, so I'm on damp watch now. The unit itself isn't noisy, but we also had a trickle fan in the bathroom which is noisy when you turn the light on, but if it sorts the damp and condensation in this house, I'll be a happy DF1D.

Done another y0ug0v survey today, now within £1.50 of payout.. Also done a P0pulus survey for £2 and got a few more points on Ips0s - close to an amazon voucher on there.. DH has really got into surveys as well to support the loan clearance this year which is great..

Food order to be done later! Need to work tonight as well after the evening meeting this week..

That's what Saturday looks like. Have good days all.

  • Work done for the weekend.. Another survey for £1 when I got home.

Then found out DH's car has had to go garage for a broken spring.. likely to cost about £100 to fix.. Sigh

Online food order to do tonight and we are giving ourselves £10 as it's payday to have a chinese.. probably shouldn't, but happy this week with what we have paid off the debt and we've said we are not going to bother with Valentines or our Wedding Anniversary in terms of presents or birthdays as we want the debt gone so bad this year, so this is a treat to us! Will be the last one for a while, told DH he can have another when the main debt is cleared!

  • Quiet day at home.. fleabag item sold for £5.. so apart from the postage, everything I make on there goes towards the credit card. I have another three things to get on there when I get 5 minutes.

Rest of the day has been playing with the little people, making soup and cookies and having a lovely lie in!

    Happy Sunday evening all..

Hi DFOD you've been busy. Well done on paying that money off your loan. :T You're sounding really positive, glad you've got a plan to get rid of the last of the debt. :)

  • Thanks Sashybo!

Been fiddling with YNAb tonight and have allocated my usual pay cheque amount, but I know it will be more due to a small pay rise..

Currently have £26.00 towards the loan overpayment, but hope to increase that when I know my exact pay and nursery bill has been paid.. the repayment amount will get added to over the course of the month..

I got the other credit card, so I need to go back in my diary for the advice on how to get the loan amount on there. If we pay it off now we save £1200 ish in interest so it's well worth us doing.

Few surveys done tonight.. a few more pence to add to the coffers..

Fleabay item packaged and ready to post.. but the £5 I made from it has already been sent to the credit card..

Mortgage payment made, but I wasn't quick enough to stop the overpayment to that and redirect it to the loan, so we've overpaid the mortgage by £40 this month.

My car needs new tyres, so another £70 or so on the cars after paying DH's bill of £90 today.. really need to make sure the credit card doesn't increase too much..

Started to change our food habits this year as well, all little changes, so homemade soup for lunch today for me and oats, fruit and seeds in a jar for breakfast.. hopefully all the family will transition over to better food this year as I want limited packaged and processed stuff in the house!

Glad Monday work is done, was a pretty naff day really! Roll on Tuesday!

We did and really liked it.. our only issue was it was situated in a working boat yard and not on your typical house boat mooring.. with two young kids and no real 'arrangement' with the boat yard, we were worried about security of mooring.. Had it been in a more traditional mooring, I think we might have gone for it..

Ah that's a shame! At least you went to see it though or you'd still be thinking about it :) a few of my friends live on boats in the Brighton marina, the facilities seem to be pretty good there!

Well done for all the Fleabaying, a shame there are so many payouts on the car but hopefully that'll all be done soon and you won't have to pay for anything for a while! :D
  • If I thought Monday was bad, Tuesday was a whole lot worse at work and it's not likely to get better this week..

Putting that aside, things that have made me happy today:

    * I didn't stuff my face in response to above work !!!! and stuck to my diet - hoping I'm back on track this week and will have a good loss

    * tax credits in and after putting enough aside for the nursery fees, I've sent a £123.52 overpayment to the loan for starters this month!

    * another y0ug0v survey done - £1 from payout now.. soooo close!

Roll on my payday Friday.. can't believe how desperate I am to know what my pay looks like so I can move all the pennies around!

Wow £1 from payout, that's amazing! Not far to go...

Well done for sticking to the diet, it's so difficult when you're under pressure! Fingers crossed for you when you jump on the scales :)

Hope the rest of the week brightens up for you a little!

Hi DFOD, sorry to hear about work, hopefully it won't be as bad as you think.

Well done on the overpayment to the loan and being so close to your y0ug0v payout. :j
