58k in debt to frugal living..

First bit of income for March budget arrived today, the tax credits.. I've already allocated all expected monies in ynab so that shows as over budgeted at the minute, so nice to start plugging the income in. BT bill is £4.41 less than budgeting, so I've added that to the loan overpayment I will make on 1/3/15. DH's wages in tomorrow.. I'm a bit under on my estimation with his as they differ slightly month to month depending on expenses so should have a few more pound to add to the loan payoff.

Aiming for £500 payoff in March over and above the £1000 from the little people's savings. Unless y0ug0v arrives by Friday, I made it to £449 payoff this month - bit disappointed we didn't manage £500, but hey ho.. we are under £4k..

How are you finding YNAB? I d/led it about two weeks ago but I have no idea what I'm doing!

Yey payday is nearly here. I've got my payslip so I know what I've got to work with.. will make payments of £184.09 to the loan later, along with the monthly payment of £164.21.. so that will be £348.30 off the loan this month.. that's basically it really..pending survey payments or a few £1 saved here and there.. I'll request a new settlement figure from the bank now to see what the outstanding balance is.. hoping to smash 94% paid this month..

£20 extra overpaid on the mortgage - every little helps!

OOohh just noticed Y0vgov payment arrived, so just sent another £50 to the loan! £398.30 paid off so far this month!!

Day off - yey!

Been playing with YNAb again - I reckon we can get the loan done by August - that would be 7 years after our light bulb moment, we will have cleared nearer £60k of debt.

Just the slight matter of the credit card then which will be gone by April next year.. can't quite believe we are looking at about a year till debt free (hopefully - fingers crossed)

All subject to slight change.. but with that goal in mind, we are aiming for such a frugal year to get it gone! I need to ensure I account for EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY.

Supposed to be going out today, but have promised the kids we will go soft play instead... cheaper, closer and will wear them out.. plus they are on best behaviour at the thought of soft play!
