OK so we all know countless people can't use you're and your. Don't get me started on their and they're and there.
But I have noticed, especially on the MSE forums, the creeping misuse of advice and advise. Is it really so difficult?
I'm sure these people can say the word out loud properly - I've never heard anyone say "I'd like some advise".
Not sure if I blame teachers or the advent of spell checkers that aren't sense checkers.

Be honest now. How many times did you proof read your post before hitting the "submit reply" tab to make sure that it was error free?
I know that when I occasionally comment on grammar or spelling, I normally double or treble check to make sure that it's 100% correct before submitting (and sometimes still miss an error!).0 -
