Well, five days into the Advents....how are you all coping?
After a manic first day, when loads of Advents were posted, than two days spent weeding out the good from the bad, I am quite calm now and have quite a canny little routine going
I am tired though as I rushed around last weekend decorating the tree, doing the weekly shop etc before the Advents started and I have been going to bed later and waking earlier than usual too. I am planning for a more relaxed weekend:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I'm not sure if I'm getting jaded but I think this years are a lot worse than lthe last few years, yesterday I had entered all the one I wanted to by noon - today I've nearly finished again - just mopping up stragglers. there seem a lot more offers than in previous yearsproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

Hamsterfan, I defo agree with you with regard to there being more offers this year. There are some companies, who in the past, offered a prize a day but this year they have a mixture of offers. It wastes time having to check their Advents each day as I am not usually interested in their offers!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Some of these prizes are absolute crap
Who puts a plastic flamingo on top of their Christmas Tree
One of the advents (mollymaids or something) were giving away a bag for life ( A quality carrier bag) and a pair of bob standard yellow rubber gloves today.
I decided that was going too far and refused to enter on principle :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I have been doing the web based ones mainly as I don't like covering my Facebook wall with it all and Twitter winds me up too much so I do very few of those. No wins yet. Most prizes are unexciting to say the least. This is my first time doing the Advents and I seem to be spending about 3 hours a day entering the ones I like. Not sure I can keep ir up all month though as on a work day it means I am computing all the way to bedtime which doesn't lead to a good night's sleep."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Not overly impressed with this years lot but this makes it easier to red X the dross.
The usual suspect pulling through with decent prizes, a few have dumped their web based advent and moved it to FB.
Missing the likes of Classic FM, NEOM Organics, Hugo Boss and a few others.0 -
I've enjoyed the ones I've seen/done so far. I'm doing about 120 a day, takes about an hour and a half - 2 hours. Mostly I'd like to win pet stuff.
So far I've won some cat toys from Day 2 of PetSafeUK advent.
The only thing I'm stressing about the advents is missing an announcement that I've won.I just enter and forget...hoping to win something!0 -
This years advents are really dull.
I'm not hunting for haggi, dressing and feeding reindeer nor wondering if all 5,000,000,000 winners of a pringles speaker are going to post on a thread.
On the upside I might not need a therapist in 2015...Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.

Willing acceptance - now, at this very moment - of what you can’t change0
