Whoops! Reminds me I haven't done mine for a couple of months now:eek: . Better go and empty it, put in my vinegar etc fast before anyone just starts loading it again! Thanks for the reminder :T .0

Lidls do an excellent dishwasher powder, £3.99 for 3kg, it says use 40 mls (a capful) but I use half that. It is better than any finish tablets for lovely sparkling glasses and seems to clean everything better too.
I'm going to look for their dishwasher cleaner now!!0 -
Hi
Our dishwasher is a bit grimy and we usually use a dedicated dishwasher cleaning sachet when it gets like this.
Does anyone know of anything else I can use instead?
Thanks0 -
Vinegar and washing soda would probably shift any grease. I usually use the Sainsbury's tablets, as they're a lot cheaper than the Finish cleaning stuff (8 tablets for £1.99).0

i put some vinegar onto a sponge or dish cloth and wipe around the seals ect then tip the rest of the bottle into the bottom of  the dishwasher and run on hot, it leaves it sparkling!Member 1145 Sealed Pot Challenge No4

Think this is my first post on here but I've been reading for ages.
We moved into a flat in September that has a dishwasher (how did we cope before???:o ) and despite using three bottles of specialist dishwasher cleaner, the dishwasher absolutely stinks when it's running.
This is the first time I've had a dishwasher so I don't know what it could be.
(We use finish tabs at the moment, but will be going o/s when the box is finished). We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

firstly clean the filter under hot water ( or boil the kettle and soak it )
then clean the arms with a bottle brush as these can sometimes get little food particles in them
Throw half a cup of white vinegar in the bottom of the dishwater and run it empty on the longest, highest setting it has.
Voila - clean sparkling dishwasher, and if it still stinks, its time to pull it out and check the drainage*Spendi*
